Even assuming he gets named at FB how long is it going to last? Even in his Dally M year I didn't rate him and see him struggling to hold out Holmes.

If he starts at fullback, and alternates during the game with Holmes, but stays on the pitch for 80 each week. I see value

If he starts at fullback for the first few weeks, but gets dumped to the bench/NSW Cup by week 4. Or subs off during games to give the bench utility a run. Then I don't see value.

If he starts on the bench from round 1, then stay far, far away.

Team lists may not say exactly what will happen, so a bit of guesswork may be required as to how things will pan out

i'm a bit of a barba fanboy from wayback, but i really do think flanagan is kidding himself if he gives bird the #1 to start the year. even if its not barba, then it surely has to be holmes. it just makes no sense to have hte best team balance to put bird back there. for some reason i still think its all 'talk'.

been offline since friday. had a dream last night that the season started and i hadn't locked in my team. no captain set, few spots not even filled. talk about a nightmare.

I don't know why Rochow is in so many teams. Many as 3rd best 2RF! His average last year was hugely inflated from attacking stats which from a small sample can't be relied upon and his career average for near 80 min games is mid-30s

I mean if I go the cheapie route I can use the money to upgrade elsewhere but I'll get some rather average scores in the CTR's and upgrading there would become priority 1 but the expensive option means I'd have to cut back in my forwards.

I have 2 2RFs at CTR atm who should both play 80 mins

Brown and Lawrence tie up a lot of cap space for your centres though. Is going to hurt the rest of your team a little. You'll probably end up having someone like Pauli Pauli, Parcell or Ash Taylor in your playing 17. Nice if it works out, but its just as trisky as playing someone like Hurrell/Lafai

Averages 46 80 min 2RF which surely he'll get until Cordner back by the time will have a good idea of a reliable CTR downgrade

    Speaking of 2 gun centres
This is my attempt. If Parcell isn't an option will have to downgrade Woods/Grahamto get a 2nd hooker in there

    Seggy Parcell
    Fifita Woods JGraham BLawrence
Surgess Cartwright Sue LAM (Pauli Chee-Kam)
    DCE Hastings (Taylor Feeney)
    CLawrence Aubusson (Auvua'a Scott)
    Slater Barba Gutherson (Copley Mitchell)

Can even swap in Lewis Brown for Aubusson. Can play around with back row a little. Other than Surgess and Cartwright by backrow is pretty volatile at the moment.

I'm hoping SST gets Cordner's spot. He's played there before to cover Guerra/Cordner and scores big when doing so.

i think parcell is a legitimate point scoring 4th reserve option. he works his arse off in defense so if he can nab 40 to 50 mins he should score 35-40's

I have Parcell pencilled in as a scoring reserve. Don't think Koroisau's going to be playing too much footy anytime soon and so he should get around 40 minutes a game, probably swapping with Brown or Leary for a break.

Yeah, I have Parcell as my 18th man. He works hard in defence, but also likes to go for a run out of dummy half, break a few tackles and score a try...but will see what happens the first couple rounds

Did korosau sign before or after Barrett was confirmed as the coach?

Parcell is in as a 4th reserve for me. I watched a lot of his Ipswich games last year. He is a great worker in defense and has good vision. Runs well out of dummy half and has a natural ability to find the try line. He's very fit. I think he won the Broncos 2.5km run record twice in 1 hour last pre-season. I know it's a risk but he could be a keeper.

In 2013 as an 80 minute 2nd rower in 18 games he averaged 41. Throw in the 2 golden point games he played and it jumps to over 43.
In 2014 as an 80 minute 2nd rower in 17 games he averaged 34.5
In 2015 as an 80 minute 2nd rower in 3 games he averaged 44.7

His average over the 3 seasons when playing 80 minutes is 39.5

Over those 38 games he has scored 5 tries. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary for a player in his position

He has a discount on his 2015 scores due to playing less than 10 games as well as an injury affected 20.
That takes his priced average down to 34, which is his 2014 average.

So worst case he doesn't make any money. But I can't see him losing any. And with the Knights pack the way it is he is going to be one of the go to guys in attack, so should see decent ball.

A 40 point averaging player for the price of a 34 average. What is not to like.
