NRL Fantasy Draft

Hi all, long time reader and first time poster. Love your work, I have learnt heaps already just from reading the thread.

Question..

I’ve got my nrl fantasy draft tomorrow (Friday) with a few mates, just wondering if anyone has or knows of any cheat sheets/forums where I can gather some last minute knowledge before heading into the draft.

Wondering also everyones thoughts on selecting between cleary, cook and tedesco? (I’m #1 pick)

Well um, this forum is pretty G. I guess you're thinking for summarising the most recent thoughts? I guess that's just something you should be doing over the last few months.

As for the first pick, I can't see you going wrong with Cleary. Set and forget for a cool 65+ average.

There's an argument for grabbing cookie as the pickings for gun hooker are low this year, whereas you can grab a B-tier half later in the draft (e.g. Fogharty/Munster).

I wouldn't get Teddy if I'm first.

I was first pick and went a hooker then 2 edges only edges what seem decent are crichton, matterson, fifita, harris murray and frizzell. there's Abit of a drop off after them.

Whilst I agree with posts above, positions like edge and mid are easy to fill during season because loads of new players pop up with new roles after injuries etc

WFB is so tough to get good-top end players, I would seriously consider getting Tedesco first especially with Ponga missing a while

I think there are some hooker options in R2/3 which are far more serviceable than the next tier of WFBs

Macca (probably gone)
Robson - value if playing 70+
Watson - value if playing huge lock minutes as mooted

Teddy as captain will cost you a few h2h through the year when he has low scoring games if captain

Very rarely see a draft with captains on.

Think the draft I created has captains. Not sure.

Having captains in a draft comp is a bit slack on the people who don't get the top couple of picks.

Well we're only in round 3 so if it's not an option to change after the draft is over, we should cancel it now and restart.

Would also allow us to get 10 active members so we don't have a 12 hour wait every single round.
