I'd like to see something like this in any normal year going forward. Unfortunately less rounds though would mean less broadcast $$$, but at least you ditch the month or so of junk games during origin period.

At very least, all three origins should be on standalone weekends in the future (with pacific tests played on the same weekends).

Probably got to factor in that Australia need to play some tests and that is best done after the GF, so Origin would need to remain mid year.

Post season everyone gets the injuries carried through the season sorted, players are contracted to clubs not state. It will be a debacle.

One reason for delaying origin is that we might even be allowed crowds at stadiums by then (certainly more chance than having it in the next couple of months)

Moving it out of season is one reason for giving people extra trades when we start. A lot of player selections were made on the basis of origin. With a draw theoretically coming soon, fanhub people might have to start thinking about what they'll do for the restart

David Fifita is expected to miss the first 3 rounds after the NRL resumes on May 28, as he continues recovery after meniscus surgery. Would suggest partial meniscectomy/trim surgery where damaged part of meniscus is removed, which usually comes with a 4-8 week recovery period‬

No having Fifita was stupid, now it’s stupid like a fox. Just 2 trades for R3 would be great now thanks.

If we only get 2 trades I probably hold him, but hard to know if he gets his 80 minute spot back coming back from surgery.

What a headache that Fifita news is. Assuming I have bigger issues elsewhere, I'm going to be really tempted to hold him. But by christ that's a big chunk of cap sitting there doing nothing so early in the season.

Main thing is for me he's a no-brainier keeper so do I want to be messing around trading him out and back in? But does he return as dynamic as he was?

I feel like I'm recycling what I heard someone else say but if that's the case it stuck in my head. Anyway, I don't think it matters too much if he plays 80min or not because he usually makes the bulk of his points through those one or two massive plays per match. Shorter game time might even make him more inclined to perform these acts of point scoring madness in the smaller amount of time he has?

If we have 2 trades I'll sell Knight & D. Fifita to Twal & Yeo.

I tell you what, aside from the season restarting, I'm really looking forward to everyone complaining about how many problems they need to fix in their team. Even though pretty much every player in the comp will have a similar number of problems. I think it's going to be interesting - people having to hold injured or cash-losing players at the start, less rounds to trade, potentially never getting to the ideal final team.

If only 2 trades, will be looking at:
Fifita > Turbo (need to replace Kennedy)
    Musgrove > Grant

Means I need to play Stephen Crichton at Center, Rudolf at FRF and still have Kennedy, Watkins and Walters to deal with in coming rounds.
