NSW have lost 4 of the last 6. Might be time to rebuild. And Ice, Keary is out for 4-6 weeks I thought.

Despite the commentators trying to pump the bloke up and justify the selection, Cleary brought his club form to the game.

I think they'll go for Reynolds to partner with Walker.

They should be selecting their best half (Pearce) but they won't.

Ahh yes, still, would be about as effective as Walker. Pearce would offer more. bring him back to take the punishment and blame of potentially another series loss I say. At least he can defend.

walker was way worse the cleary imo, both poor but walker and trell's defense was horrid

i personally wouldn't make many changes, Trbo is back this week, he comes back in, probably for Jmoz which is harsh because he was probably in our top 5 players last night, cotric was great too. the other side were terrible but you'renot dropping either of them jsut yet

apart from Tturbo coming in, only other move i'd consider is a different 14.

freddy needs to use his rotations better tho, Jurbo was off way to long, ditto frizz. klemmer was immense the first half too but i don't see the point playing him for 50 straight and then not having him on the last 30 with the game on the line

Less Haas and crighton, more of the above 3 please

It's harsh on Cotric he didn't do anything really wrong, but agree Turbo comes back and Morris stays. Morris is the type of player you want at this level. Arey & Walker in the halves and Matterson on the bench for Crichton. Whighton you lucky son of a bitch I'm not making wholesale changes.

why not just matterson for wighton ?

not a huge crighton fan but can play a role better then wighton and like you i wouldn't want to make to many changes, matterson can cover a few position if need be too

honestly, Arey is really jsut another cleary/pearce to me which is why i wouldn't make the switch

we jsut seem to be destined to have non creative halfbacks that play solid footy but don't offer enough to be halfback at this level

*whispers* Maybe, but probably not a mid series change this year, we should go a guy like brooks, bit more hot and cold but getting more consistent and has more footy in him then the guys we usually pick at 7

    Agreed NW

But the plan shouldnt be to take Walker off, it should be to use Wighton as a running back rower and to cover for an injury.

LG - Crichton/Whighton/Matterson I like better than my idea. As for the reigning Dally M halfback of the year, future Joey Johns and current Dally M half leader. He's been much more consistent this year and I think your right for next year.

So players can play NRL this weekend and next weekend, then are only in camp for a week instead of a week and a half with game 2 being on a Sunday right? The shorter turnaround would make multiple changes hard to get combinations right, especially if there is a couple of players with niggles from the NRL matches who might need to miss a training session or two.

True, which is why Turbo is a straight swap for Cotric and Arey brings with him a combo with Walker that Cleary only had 1 1/2 weeks to build.

There is no way they are dropping Cleary but can easily justify dropping Walker on the basis he Bradburied into the side. Clearly lacks a little creativity so he needs to take the line on more just to get in the game but he is still super young and not even close to the peak of his capabilities. They drop him now they doom him to the same fate as Mullen, Pearce et al. They MUST give him the rest of this series. If he can save it, great, if he can't, then yep, next year is a different story.

I'd have no issue with Pearce in the six, he is no a year or two older than the age he should have been when he was first picked and clearly has a better club record than any other half running around other than Cronk.

Reynolds is out indefiniely with a fracture in his back, so it will either be Pearce, Townsend, Brooks, Moses or Cleary.

    They will stick with Cleary.

Doomed to the same fate as pearce... lol.. the bloke played 18 origins. Our issue was continuing to pick him not picking then dropping him.

100% it will be cleary and tbh, i'm not against it. i don't think he has a long future in the arena but pearce is the same type of player with multiple scars, townsend is basically cleary without being as good a goal kicker. brooks hasn't played a really big game in his career to date, his first origin should be a game 1, not do or die imo

if luke keary was healthy, i think they might have opted for him, but otherwise its cleary for the rest of the series

unless there are more forced, there will be 1-2, max 3 changes imo

    Turbo comes in

& i think maybe they make 1-2 bench changes, any of finucane, radley, matterson etc a chance. any player on the bench not named cam murrey probably a chance to be dropped

but ultimately, the biggest change has to be the rotations.

Meh. Cleary was fine. Latrell was on the nose, but probably not 100% fit.

Can't see too many big changes, apart from Tommy T coming back in for someone.

Latrell has gone from one of the most damaging players you've ever seen up until about round 8 to someone who has done absolutely nothing for the last month.

I don't think it's a co-incidence that Mitchell hit the 'off' switch immediately following the groin injury at magic round, with each passing week, i suspect there's more to it than the Roosters have let on.
