    BUMP

Can go Gillett to Haas and then Brown to either Ponga or Twal. Really want Twal but that means playing Sivo or Rava for a couple more weeks til I upgrade Hughes. Worth it?

depends on how you’re planning on using Twal. If having Ponga sures up the back. I’d get
    Him.

Dont need to play either and doesn't affect trade ins this week. Bird out this week leaves more cash in bank for next week's trades.

    Thoughts?

Ponga Yeo the Mann wrote:Stating the obvious but from people in the club at training yesterday brown is under plenty of pressure and needs to win at least 2 of the next 4 to keep his job

Finals is a minimum for him in his contract but they may cut the cord earlier without having to pay him contract out due to the way it's structured around team performance

I like the bloke and he's helped us in dark times but not showing many signs he can help us take the next step really so hopefully he can turn it around and get the team attacking properly

If that's what's in the contract then fair enough but I hate how it's always the coaches that get the short end of the stick..

You can only do so much training and preparation as coach, it's up to the playing group to execute and perform. Some instances where there are rumors that players don't get along with the coach but if their main goal is to win a premiership surely they'll put personal feelings aside and try to do the best they can to perform and win games.

Under performing players should get dropped. Earn and keep their spot i'd say.

    Probably true.

Biggest issue I actually have is who to trade out for him. The guys I can trade are Capewell, Niukore, and Garner. Don't necessarily want to punt any of them at the moment, all three are performing consistently. Garner averaging slightly higher than Niukore, but Niukore plays round 12. Capewell should reap in some cash after last weeks big score. I'm sort of leaning to Garner, but it just feels wrong to get rid of him. I'm telling myself that Chee Kam has earnt himself a few more minutes meaning Garner may only play 60 and get ~35 points..
Historically speaking CS9 never drops below 800k which is what he could be priced next week. People were hesitant on him purely because of brandon smith on the bench but it seems smittys role hasnt changed. For me capewell is the next to go from that group. Last week score just bought him a 3 or 4 week sell date with the price rises to come

Do teams with players "in doubt" (ie. the sharks this week with Fifita) purposefully not show photos of said player who is in doubt to urr off the opposition coach. Not a single photo of Fifita training in the captains run today.

Really struggling with a captains choice this week.
Cook - Have the feeling "He won't back it up with another big score"
    Fifita - Hamstring? Restricted minutes?
Arrow - Could be a close game and see big minutes?
Bateman - Due for a 60+ game and could run rampid around the bonzos?
Nikora - Could be a smokey if he nabs a couple tries of some SJ short balls or maybe some TA's to Xerri?
Ponga - Could find a lit of gaps around Carty's edge?
Teddy - Stepping up for a big game for the GF rematch?

Ummmm I'm not worthy of giving advice on this. May as well give up if this is the kind of team some people have.

Ponga. So you don't have to play Sivo.

That's as much use as I can be

    Flip a coin.

Twal gives you a solid forward pack. But you already had one. Ponga gives you something you don’t have, a stronger backline. Yes Twal scores more than Capewell, but Ponga scores more than sivo.

    Either way. Your call.

And let's be honest, I'd be surprised if I still have Ok or Rein at that stage and who knows if Brown will be playing.

No chance I'm using trades to bring in players who I don't expect to be in my final 17 for one round.

Kikau is one I'll keep an eye on to trade in, Lolo if he's back and firing. Upgrading Morgan to ARey in the halves is probably what a lot of people will be looking to do or playing Ponga in the halves with another keeper if WFB keeper pops up.
Rhyse Martin is another potential keeper.

I really don't see anyone aside from those three knocking on the door of a final 17.
