Keep pushing MTB - you're going great and have a few trades banked. Strong spot

    Cheers mate.

Think I will go DCE -> ARey. He's averaging really well and plays round 12. Seems a bit of a no brainer. Will have a think though.

This is assuming DCE is more than a 2 week injury, will wait for news.

    DCE -> Arey confirmed.

Second trade, if at all, is a tough one. I don't feel like grabbing any cashies that I can see.

The first trade has left me with a decent bank (170k), which means I could afford an upgrade, at basically any position.

I still haven't got Rein, and at 600k, averaging 50, and playing round 12, he's still quite appealing. Capewell would be the obvious one to punt for him, and that also saves some of that bank for dealing with CHT when Niko takes his spot.

Alternatively, I could use the bank, but I really think I need to prepare for replacing CHT in a week or two....

Also tempting to just hold the trade.

EDIT: Or Capewell could just become a gun half/wfb now (have ponga/wighton that can move into hlf, if i get a wfb).

MTB, feel free to jump in on the celeb team discussion mate. You, Verbal, Ranta, and Booze all very solid IMO on your thought processes. The team we have going is decent, but some tough calls need to be made in the lead up to 12. Would be good to hear what you think mate!

Love the Arey trade - agree its a no brainer. I'd say most should be trying to get him in this week or next. Certainly this week for DCE holders.

Im with you on the Cows this week. Nothing particularly appealing for me although Im a little tempted by a Manly half, I guesss Elgey given his price. I need more info regarding how likely he is to pick up KMs and other half base stats form DCE though.

15 points in KM per game has gotta go somewhere though, and then there's the stats associated with taking control of the offence.

Reynolds looks to be a great option. The DCE injury is a massive shame all around. Tough for owners.... plus (as a none owner) I was hoping for 2-4 weeks so he'd be a 'hold' and Reynolds would be a lovely pod vs CHT/cover etc. Yeah, I'm selfish Very Happy

That 2nd trade is a head scratcher, mainly due to the lack of clear rookie priced options. Noting that I've picked up Dearden this week, a bit of risk but he'll be useful for half cover when CHT needs to go. Hopefully he makes some money....

When you say ARey is a no brainer, is that because he plays round 12, or he is going to be a top 3 half come the end of the year?

This is ~part~ of it for me. But the main part is, his current scoring is very consistent, and tbh, I think he will maintain it.

    Yet to make a decision.

Capewell to Rein is on my mind. But it feels sideways. Capewell could easily outscore him this week..

    May hold the second trade.

With Niko's move now official and set to play for the Warriors next week, I'm now thinking I will get ahead of the CHT issue and trade Capewell to a gun HLF/WFB this week.

Having a hard time deciding between Cleary and Tedesco (who for various reasons, I've decided are my two choices).

    Week 8 Summary

    Score: 892 ▲
    Overall Rank: 94

Captain choice success!! Stuck with Cook, which finally paid off.

All in all, a pretty decent week considering some of the carnage out there.

Pulled the trigger on Capewell to Tedesco, so it was fitting that they both scored 34. Ah well, hopefully Teddy is in for a big week up at Suncorp for Magic round.

Bateman injury means he is a trade. Haven't really though about who as yet.

May hold CHT in case Greens body gives up pretty quickly again. Few cashies emerging it would seem, so TLT will be a big one.

No other glaring issues to deal with.

Bateman -> Lolo is a goer.

Sitting on the second trade for now. N
Can wait until tomorrow to make a call.

    Week 9 Summary

    Score: 910
    Overall Rank: 133 ▼

Well, well, well. Would have been sitting around 27th if I had just left the C on Cook. Them's the breaks I guess. Aside from that, a decent week, and pretty happy to have only dropped 40 odd spots, with a captain that scored 11 Laughing

Pulled the trigger on CHT to Young, and played him, so that worked out quite well. Hopefully he can hold his spot in the side.

Hoping FatboyFifita is good to go this week, but Bird doing his ACL is horrible news for him, and just another trade due to injury for me.

With 260k in the bank, I will spend a few days mulling over who to grab. I think I'll play Xerri at centre for a while, and turn Bird into a forward.. that will likely be the only trade for the week.

Probably no point worrying about the centre position until Bateman is back on the field.

    Week 10 Discussion

    Trades: 2.
    Bird (broken) -> CS9
    Host -> Martin

Didn't try and analyse Martin. Host has to go, Martin is cheap, looks to be a good scorer, seems a good player via the eye test, and plays round 12. Easy.

Went back and forth over CS9 or Taupau (and considered some other options). Long term, CS9 should score better, but whether I should make that trade now or after round 12 was a tough choice. In the end, long term thinking prevailed.

    Team:
    Cook(C)
    Fifita Haas
    Arrow Murray Taumalolo
    Reynolds Wighton
    Nikora Xerri
    Tedesco Ponga CNK
    R: CS9 Mahoney Vaughan Niukore
    E: Martin Young Lomax Garrick

    Trades: 20
    CITB: 46k

May have to swap Niukore out for Martin or Young, his scoring hasn't been great. Really just holding him for Round 12 at this point.

Would really like to make zero trades next week. Need a week with no injuries to deal with.

    Week 10 Summary

Dropped a whole two spots overall. Should have left Niukore in my 17, instead I threw Martin in.

The good news, no injuries, and no trades to make this week. Got 20 in the bank, will probably use all three (we still get three for bye rounds?) next week..
