Wow, just thinking that if Pap was named to start then I would have been very close to trading Tedesco this week. Lucky!

Round 11 score 1049, round rank 922. Overall rank 3rd

Just missed out on sitting in 1st place at the end of the round due to picking Lomax over Xerri. No biggy! Nice to crack the 1000 again.

My spreadsheets are doing the hard work for me this week. I'll be making some big decisions on trades - particularly Origin players. I'll likely ditch two of them with the plan to bring them back in after the byes/origin. F9 F9 F9

My pre TLT musings. Drinking a can of coke and eating some popcorn.

I feel a bit like the non Will Smith pilot in Independence Day (Jimmy I think). "I'm going to try something"....... "Jimmy NOOOOOO!"

Two or three trades are on the cards:
*Cook out is one of them - nasty schedule, I think worth the risk
*Lomax as well - a deer in headlights, doubtful I'd hold 'til r16 anyway
*I'm also playing around with Tedesco and Murray as the 3rd out - luxury, needs to tie in to plans for r16 & run home

Oh well, I've completely changed my mind now I've seen team lists.

I'm out drinking on Thursday, will trade then!

    Likely trades:
    Cook to Brittain
    Martin to Havilli

    Pending news:
    Lomax* to Bateman

Team will be something like this:
    Brittain
    Taupau Haas
    Young Taumalolo(c) Murray
    Reynolds Moses
    Nikora Lomax*
    CNK Tedesco Ponga

    Rein Havilli Brittain Smith
    Fifita Dearden Xerri Wighton

Whats the logic on the Cook trade mate? Interested in seeing what your spreadsheet is telling you there. GL

Good question! I think I can score more heavily through to r18 then bring him back in. Chasing points and using the $s in this 5 round window

Edit, perhaps some stretchy assumptions underpinning this...

I reckon he is banking on Cook having no/reduced minutes in at least 2 of the post origin rounds.

Would just about make it worthwhile to dump him if this happens

I'm assuming Ponga doesn't back up and Peats gets named. This forces my trades at this point. I'll pivot if need be.

    Rein to McInnes
    Young to RTS

    Pre TLT team:
    Smith
    Fifita(c?) Haas
    Murray Taupau Taumalolo
    Moses Reynolds
    Bateman Nikora
    Tedesco RTS CNK

    McInnes Mahoney Havili Ponga*
    Brittain Dearden Martin Xerri
    $500k bank

I need to get Taupau out of my 2RF and onto the INT bench. Martin to a r16 2RF is next on the radar (unless something blows up this week).

Holding pattern to r16 is the plan then make a call on r16 numbers and the run home (getting Cook back in etc)

I feel like I'm in ok shape. Although, I'm dead if Cook backs up and goes bananas. I guess I'll focus on Supercoach if that happens haha

I've just updated my season plan and I'm $122k short. Really, I'd banked on Martin/Young to make a bit more - I even had buffer in this scenario.

I need a few things to fall my way to make up the gap. Havili, Dearden and Xerri to make a bit more than I estimated. DCE, Jurbo and Cook to fall a bit. CNK and Mahoney to hold value at least.

Current planned r18 team (not r17 as I think there will be some origin rested players):

    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    Taumalolo Jurbo Murray
    DCE Reynolds
    Nikora Bateman
    Ponga RTS Tedesco

    McInnes Taupau Smith Moses
    r16 2RF (up to $700k), r16 $228k (WFB/Centre cover perhaps), r16 $228k (cover/red dot), Brittain

I think I need to go cheaper on my r16 2RF next week. I don't want to! It would give me a few more options though. I could also use another trade to cash out Brittain after origin. If he plays twice more and averages 40 then he gets to ~$370k. That's enough. This is one less trade for the run home - I'm going to be skinny on trades anyway....

Edit, throwing up my trade plans. I know I cant quite afford the final Cook trade unless some prices move nicely...

    r14 one trade: Martin to r16 2RF
    r15 zero trades
r16 two trades: Havili and CNK to 2 x r16 $228k. I need CTR and/or WFB cover if possible. 10 players for r16
r17 two trades: Dearden and Xerri to DCE and Jurbo
r18 one trade: Mahoney to Cook

Copping a zero this week most likely. I don't see both Ponga and Tedesco backing up

I did cop a zero! From Dearden.............

    Anyway:

Round 13 score 918, round rank 2,093. Overall rank 2nd

Original planned trade for this round was Martin to r16 2RF. Martin saved himself this week so I'll be looking elsewhere. Also, bigger problems to fix!

Dearden gone. Reynolds TBC. Although, I don't need to panic trade in a half. I can use Moses & Ponga (with CNK, RTS and Tedesco at WFB). No cover though.

    Something like
    >> Dearden to R16 2RF
    >> Hold second trade for now, pending Reynolds news - likely he has to go for a r16 half

Another good score from you, sitting pretty up in 2nd place
Dearden trade was a shitter, guessing we should have taken our flu jab as we caught that one head on.
Anyways all the best this week champ

    Thanks Booze

I think I have my two trades locked in this week. It probably means I've lost DCE for my final team due to burning a trade and losing Dearden cash milk Crying or Very sad

Round 14 score 883, round rank 2,605. Overall rank 2nd

Hit by CNK and McInnes so semi-lucky considering Pearce, Xerri etc

    The Usual Suspects - Page 5 R1410

I'm short of cash generation to hit the team I want. I've already given up on DCE and now look likely to lose Jurbo. Just need to roll with the punches and hope to get lucky. I shouldn't have traded in Brittain - this killed a cash gen spot that I'm desperate for. Another $150k would be LOVELY. Oh well...

The plan is to hold trades this week unless something critical pops up. A wait and see approach.
