I had Mansour & Edwards but then was worried if there would be enough points for them to split and stuck with Edwards. I like Lomax at CTR and toyed with that too. You've put a lot of faith in the Broncos FRF. I'd prefer to spread the risk. Go with the sheep and bring in Tolman till TLT then start fresh with Smith as your first pick.

Macca should give you about an avg of 55 (if he goes well)

Personally I would pick one of the following three
Cook, Smith, and Fifita as top captaincy choices (avg of 60)

and maybe Arrow and Teddy on a good day.

I think Arrow could be a potential Captaincy option this season bar injuries

I think this is probably the riskiest team I've seen so far, I prefer the team you had before. Surgess, Kikau, Holland and Watson are all 50/50 to me. Kikau doesn't have DPP anymore and I don't think he'll even be in the top 5 2RF by the end of the year. Milchy made a good point that only 3 WFB averaged above 45. Is Watson really going to outscore Teddy, Turbo and Ponga or make adequate cash? I don't think so personally. Holland is probably the least risky but I don't like that he won't kick. Macca also doesn't excite me. Averaged 72mins for his average which isn't too far off 80 and I think people are exaggerating how much he was affected by injury. Plays origin as well. Surgess also isn't historically good on an edge either, hard to see him average over 50 but I guess his DPP and the fact that he plays rd 13 have convinced you

Always hard to comment with respects to running non guaranteed cheapies like Nikora and Egan in your 17. If one of them is out there isn't necessarily an easy swap that keeps balance.

Halves, Murray, Holland, Stimson, Mahoney are stock standard cookie cutter picks.

Macca is a respectable captain option and should go well but the risk is you have no good options if he doesn't start well.
Whitehead, Surgess, Kikau, Tolman and TPJ should all be fine but I don't love them as picks (not top at position nor a lot of cash in them)

Feels like you've taken a lot of risk in your forwards to get your gun backline of Watson, Edwards and Drinkwater. You are essentially betting on all of them at their current price to be the Ponga of last year. Edwards has some form that supports this and if you want to build a team based on these three cause you believe they are great picks I'd say go for it (Note if you do this you are picking them as keepers and are essentially saying they are all better than all of Ponga, Tedesco and TTurbo). You won't have a spare WFB in your end team after all.

I'd cut at least one of them and you can play the best out of Sivo, Allan, Lomax etc. Your team is so incredibly mid range I think having a few dependable players would really help. Will simplify trade descisions if you aren't looking at everyone on your team. Currently only Macca and Edwards are the only final 17 players I can get behind on your team and thats a loose foundation to start on (unless you love everyone on your team).

I don't like that FRF apart from Surgess who only rates as above okay in my book. I'd be dropping Watson to get Fifi and leave yous ome start of season cash.

My Tweaks would weaken your bench but just lift

    Macca
    Fifita, Surgess
    Arrow, Matterson, Murray
    Morgan, Brown
    Holland, Nikora
    Kahu, Edwards, CNK

    Mahoney, Leilua, Stimson, Burr
    Allan, Xerri, Ravalawa, Keighran

If you like Watson over that FRF then I'd say power to you and stick with the players you like Smile Its just a trade off in the end. Though I would also tempt you to downgrade Paulo to Napa in that case and Vaughn could be LAM. That'd be enough to get Tedesco over Watson which could also be appealing.

    Macca
    Taupau (c), Tolman
    Arrow, Matterson, Murray
    Morgan, Keighran
    Holland, Capewell
    Edwards, Hughes, Ravalawa

    Mahoney, Katoa (HOK), Sironen, Garner
    212k x4

I'm quielty considering a Kahu/Lomax CTR pairing to free up some cash

    Thoughts lads?

Have considered Nikora/Kahu for CTR. Allows me to upgrade Katoa and Tolman > Cleary and LAM or Vaughan. Gives me another of cash to play with after RD1

I don't have an issue with anyone in the team aside from Katoa. Who I originally had and was keen on, but didn't generate much interest here and Sironen is a guy who burnt me in the past and when he gets minutes just looks lazy. I like having set and forget centers but at the same time I would rather Cleary over Katoa for sure. How many points do you think you lose from say Holland to Kahu/Lomax and how many would you gain from Katoa to Cleary?

Clearys ceiling entices me mainly. I dont think any of the others have 100 in them.

Ideally i wouldnt mind a CTR pairing of Kahu/Nikora but obviously TLT will make that clearer.

I think it comes down to where am i happy to cut costs. And as always i feel better doing that at CTR

That is fair, there is merit to having Capewell and Holland. Two guys you potentially wont trade out all year long.

I pray for TLT to come and this tinkering to end.

    Macca
    Taupau, LAM
    Arrow, Murray, Whitehead
    Munster, Morgan
    Holland, Nikora
    Edwards, Hughes, CNK

    Mahoney, Garner, Napa, Keighran
    Brown, Ravalawa, Xerri, Host

    - My main concern is the 300k being tied up in Taupau over say a Tolman.
    - Lack of bench depth feels poor even though those four should score okay at their price.
    - Feels like Whitehead is a strange choice and could be upgraded or even downgraded to a Stimson/Sironen type.
    - Would like another WFB semi gun in the same mould as Hughes/Edwards so I don't rely on the cows in my 17.

Any other thoughts please feel free
