Yep, I’m curious about the team. You’ve gone 100% cows? Cool, earning matters. So the 3.5mill is to jump on guns as they have form slumps?

Could be a cool plan - particularly going for the max team value.

I know some people like having a war chest round 1 but that is ridiculous.

You'll be giving up such a huge start to the leaders, that even if all your cashies (ie your whole team) perform well you are going to be flat out trying to catch up on those. You are leaving a theoretical 240 points a week in your cash reserves - how quickly do you plan on getting your startes out and some keepers in. By the time you assemble a good team you'll have given up too much head start to threaten.

If you don't care about overall and only want to assemble a good team for H2H finals run in maybe it could work, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Just a note about those going for the team value prize.

In previous years the listed team value consists only of players in your team, and not any cash in the bank.
So if you are going for the prize, make sure towards the end of the year you trade in to make sure all your cash is taken up on the field and you aren't wasting cash reserves.

Too much money left and so many question marks on most of your team. Definitely need to get some at least sub-gun players in there

Hey guys, bit of tinkering but overall happy with this

    Macca (C)
    Ofa TPJ
    Arrow Murray Stimson
    Munster Morgan
    Xerri Holland
    Watson Drinky Lomax

    SMat CHN Egan Mahoney

    Keighran Smith Brown Brown

    116k itb

Strongly weighing up Tolman, LAM and RMat. Followed by Capewell, Radley and Sorensen.

Going with SMat and CHN because I heard they're starting and easily $150k underpriced. SMat is pretty jacked this pre-season too and Knights have Hymel Hunt to cover centre so he should be safe.

Munster I think goes gun this season. If not he's a good stepping stone to one.

I could downgrade Watson or Drinkwater and upgrade my bench to include RMat etc

Pretty decent and balanced team and managed to get Cook in there. Only ones I'd have any concern is Twal and Carty.

Decent and well balanced team. I'm mulling over Mansour too. Burgess looks to be playing on the edge so probably gets the 80 or close to anyway, but I don't know what his scoring like there.

Tatola could be an interesting pick.

Yeah I like Mansour for the price. Tatola is there in hopes that he gets more minutes through one of the Burgess brothers suspension. I feel like my team ended up being lots of mid range guys that are borderline keepers. which looks good on paper but Im not sure how it will pan out over the whole year. Would love to get Munster instead of Morgan but dont see a way thats possible at the moment.

Interested in thoughts on my team - I'm relatively happy with it, and would swap out any non-named 212s. Areas I'm not 100% comfortable with are the CTRs, and possibly Egan... tossing up between Twal and Tolman too, depending on whether Napa is suspended.

    Macca
    TPJ Twal (if starting)
    Radley, Murray, Arrow
    Morgan, Munster
    Capewell, Bird
    Watson, Teddy, Edwards

    Stimpson
    Egan
    Lomax
    Haas

    Xerri
    Ravalawa
    Keighran/CHT
    Brown/Salmon

The team looks good. I've a very, very similar one. My major concern is not enough cows, but TLT will provide a bit of inspiration there.

On a more important note, do you assassinate kings, are you the king of assassins, or are you a king who's first name is Assassin?

    I have questions either way.

Yeah me too. It's either Mansour or Drinkwater for me. I'll decide closer to round 1 though.

You could downgrade Meaney and Mann to get Munster. Meaney's stat's doesn't inspire confidence and Mann might not get the hooker role. I'm keeping an eye on both though.

Agree about the mid range set up. I'm going with that tactic, as long as there's value there. Better to get someone based at 30 scoring 40 than a basement scoring 30 I reckon

    Looks decent, nice work

I guess the Twal v Tolman decision can't be locked in until week one.

I wouldn't worry about the centres. Most people will have Bird or Lomax. Capewell will go alright if he's playing 2nd row.

A lot of funds in WFB but they look likely to remain/turn into guns

Thats very true, Ill be keeping an eye on Meaney and Mann from now until TLT thank you.

Thats a very valid point, just hard to see where my team will go from here. I guess I can set a goal to get Cook next through Mahoney and some peaked cows. That or upgrade Lomax to a keeper.
