I know Poolhooping is a cursed word. And not sure if this question is best for the sesspit thread. Are those who are in the top 50, avid poolhoopers, is there any proof that it has helped people/ is vital to succeed?

I never had the opportunity to do it for (it felt like) the first half of the season. A few times since then, but nothing major came of it. I.e. I don't think I ever had the chance to look at a player I otherwise wouldn't have put in my 17 that actually jumped out and scored big. So in short, I dont think I've really used it and so it has definitely ben possible to be in the top 50 without it.

That being said, as a strategy, its certainly advantageous to have the option of doing it. I would have though people who've employed it would have benefited by an average of 5 points per game or something similar. Would love to know actually!

I imagine it would be hard to get an answer on. Ive never done it, or even looked into. I assume it's a lot like (but with less risk) choosing the correct captain for the rd. But I could be wrong, because I don't know how it works.

Farah problem solved. Was planning on selling DCE before decent SOO performance. Now he's a doubt against Storm easy sell

You basically get a free look at a player, and then based on their score, decide if you want to use that score or substitute in another one of your players (that hasn't played yet).

So, there's no guarantees that by doing it you will get more points that you would have if you didn't use it, but I'd say 9 times out of 10 you'd gain.

This suggests Dalker won't play which is good as I'll avoid him but DCE is sore but will play. The fact that he probably won't be 100% and Hodko may do the bulk of work is enough for me to sell to Farah. Had planned to before decent SOO performance

    Nice.

With Crichton backing up, Im going James to Farah and Mann to either Aitken, Cotric or Turbo. Almost impossible to choose which one of the 3 to get.

I might put the C on Cook this week... a few extra attacking stats against the Doggies should work out ok

I don't see CS9 raking up too many tackles against the offloading Sea-Eagles

I have never done it so it obviously hasn't hurt me thus far.
But I am concerned I will be at a disadvantage if I don't do it (because I know that bloke in 2nd will be doing it). But I have no intention of deliberately trading in a red dot.

Fuck I hate QLD papers. I think scrutinizing the fact that Slater won the Wally Lewis medal quite obviously undeservingly is a pretty apt complaint. At least to ensure a review of the systems to make sure such a farce doesn't happen again.

I think Queenslanders had a champion team for too long, and somehow this has made them the sorest losers in sport.

...That said, still cannot beat this little gem of a sour grapes headline from 2014 when Blues finally won.

Ehhhh!!! 15 Trades, mate use them up! Gosi gotta go, get Lewis move Gutho to Fullback for Teddy this week... You need Farah on your bench, he'll be too expensive next week, get him in for Inglis/Cleary.

Upgrade Murray next week, and I'd be tempted to cash in Hetherington to a dud to upgrade a half or 2. I'd be looking to dump/upgrade these guys in the next few weeks; Gosi, Inglis, Hetherington, Murray, Hiku and JMK. You have trades mate, so easily done.
