So you rate Aitken over Milf?  Is that due to the position he plays?

Yes my list took positions into account, Aitken is a strong chance to be the best scoring CTR from here to the end of the comp.

Milford might be in the top 2 scoring halves, but is a lot more expensive, and if I'm going big I'd rather splash the cash on SJ.

It comes with good news that Dalker should be raring to go for RD18, meaning DCE takes the kicking and main playmaker role back. Hopefully with the Maroons call up it doesnt give him an even bigger head and he can kick on. Might watch how he goes RD18 and see if he may be a trade out

I wouldn't be too concerned about playing Holland until Ponga returns. Looking at your final 17 even if you trade Aitken in you'll possibly still have Holland/Doueihi in your 17, short term at least.

It looks like this would be your team

    Smith
    Fifita Taupau
    Tolo Crichton Arrow
    SJ ARey
    Mitchell Marsters
    Teddy MBye Ponga/Holland

    Cook Martin Someone Lewis/JFH

    Doueihi Mann Holland/Ponga

Bringing in Aitken/Cotric helps you with cover for CTR/WFB, but otherwise is not essential. I'd be tempted to go for which ever player you think will get you the most points within the price you are willing to pay, regardless of position.

Cheers Milch, appreciate your thoughts. Yeah, I have no issues playing Holland either as both Marsters and Mitchell got sub 30 last week. I guess I'm just possibly pre-empting Mitchell to be rested at some stage. Robinson said on 360 that Latrell was feeling the origin effects and needs a rest. I guess it might not happen and can worry about that next week I guess. I guess if I can get James over Aitken for this week, that would make more sense points wise, just don't want to ruin my makeup of my team for one week.

Getting Aitken means I can turn Mann into Farah next week, which is tempting.

I have the chance to have Smith, McInnes, SJ, James and Aitken or Rd17.

Should I stop being frugal and just do it?

That's the tough decision isn't it.

James will outscore Aitken for the rest of the year. But will Aitken + $300k of upgrades elsewhere outscore James + Holland?

All I can say is that in 4 weeks time you will know what decision you should be making this week.

I'd take the complete Round17 over just a handful of players Wink

But more seriously, all those players are final 17 keepers.

As long as you have enough cash/trades left to make yourself comfortable for the run home then go for it.

Haha they will have a supporting cast to help them. I will probably keep Ponga aswell and just play Holland until he returns. Like wolfie I hope it's not to long but at least it's cover.

James could still be worth the punt, I have the trades so can downgrade to get Farah I guess. Decisions decisions.

I am not worrying about this round but want to make some trades to free up cash for the run home and H2H finals. I am doing Su'a/Lewis and Harris/Taupau which leaves me 300 grand to do Fonua/Tedesco next week.

My question is what to do with cashing out Tuala (with the intention in possibly upgrading Cleary later). He is my only centre cover so I guess I need to go with a centre that plays? Or do I just cash him out to a cheapie and take my chances?

After trades this week I have 5 left. Next week the plan will be Isaako>Farah and Martin>Arrow. That will leave me with:

    Smith,
    Tapau, Fifita,
    Taumalolo, Arrow, James
    SJ, ARey
    Mitchell, Dugan
    Teddy, Trbo, RTS

    Cook, Surgess, Farah, DCE

    Graham, Holland, Lewis, Doueihi

Based on that, is 3 trades and 100k ITB enough for the remainder of the season?

Mann still on the wing. Mary must really hate Nightingale.

    Kikau named.

Olive not even in the 21 haha.

    Sua named.  TPJ bench.

    Bench looks good for James.

Darren Nichols is a good shout for R17 cashout for future looping purposes.

Completely missed the news that Albert Vete signed with the Storm a few days ago.
Included in their wider squad for the weekend.

Will have to keep an eye out for him around town!
