Who is the Bronco player facing court after beating on a woman? Anyone know? I'm guessing it isn't Lodge, probably a fringe player.

supposedly the player in question is a forward that spent a bit of time in first grade last year, no details beyond that

Any other team and the player is named. The we can’t name him because the matter is before the courts line is bs they named SKD and Semi for it

I thought I read it was U20's. but I've been moderately drunk over the last week.

the only legit reason for not naming them is if they are a minor or there is a minor involved.

according to what i read from some-one who may or may not know what they are talking about, the laws surrounding this are different from QLD to NSW... i don't see why it's a big deal anyway, from what i understand it's not that he won't be named ever, just while the case is ongoing, who he is is not relevant to anyone outside of the investigation, the only thing naming him would achieve is pronouncing him hanged by the court of public opinion before the facts are even out there.

Well my understanding is that there are no charges laid as yet so I don't believe there are any laws in place to stop people naming who is involved.

And it certainly hasn't stopped the Courier, who have named Tevita Pangai Jnr as the player.

strange they were going the whole 'legal reasons' schtick then if they just go ahead and name him 24 hours later... Anyway, that's the name i probably wanted to see the least, really hope this is a misunderstanding or false allegation

They probably didn't name him because they didn't know who it was and to cover up not knowing who it was they said some shit about legal reasons

regardless of what has happened, i am sure it will all go down as misunderstanding eventually
