I'm finding it hard to find a good 4.5 defender. I already have two 4.0 defenders so won't be getting another one but I also don't want to use the extra 0.5 I have to get a 5.0 defender since I already have three 6.0 players in DDG, Robertson and Mendy.

You could say I've gone a bit vanilla but I think there is value in a lot of mid-pricers to start the season.

Tompkins is a safe bet even though you have Wan-Bissoka or maybe a punt on A. Smith for Bournemouth against Cardiff who look to be the worst team promoted.

Daniels looks dodgy as his obvious replacement has a three match ban whatever his name is. Mark from FFS went A.Smith and he usually knows whats going on.

Harder here in Australia to work out the trade period and its effects plus the hang over from the World Cup. Wolves might offer value Milfy as they now have a gun

goalkeeper in Patricio so Boly or Doherty who moves forward might be worth the risk at 4.5. Good luck with your team.

I'm considering a Wolves defender. Doherty apparently is a tad more attacking than the LB so I could go him. Daniels I am unsure of because everywhere I read Rico will displace him when he's not banned anymore.

    Patricio (Hamer)
    Mendy Robertson Luiz (Wan-Bissaka Smith)
    Mane Salah B.Silva Richarlison (Gunarsson)
    King Aguero Zaha

Be wary that by going with a 4.5 keeper and a 4.0 keeper than you will more than likely have to play Patricio each week as I'm not convinced Hamer will keep his spot if selected to play this week. Lossl was number 1 all of last season.

Few apps to download if you haven't already -
Fantasy Football Fix - live scoring and price rises and falls.
Third party app which is better than the official FPL app - fantasy football manager on Android.

Haha, I've got Richarlison and Wan-Bissako sitting on my reserves bench Rip

My other two bench players are Ederson and Bellerin. I now fully expect that Ederson will get subbed off at the 61 minute mark after keeping a clean sheet and saving a couple of penalties, and then Bellerin will go on a scoring spree and pick up a hatrick. Gunners 3-0.

I have Ederson, Mahrez, Kun & Mendy playing in that game so would obviously prefer a 4-0 to ManCity.

    .

Same here. I was close to playing bench boost in round 1 too. I think Wan-Bissaka will be a popular NPR this week though

I also somehow ended up with Joshua King as captain.

Have already used my 1transfer this week. Got Neves for my 4.5 with .5 in the bank. Don't think this counts as knee-jerky as he is very cheap, and a good 5th mid option - I liked what I saw, he is on set pieces and likes to shoot (even though from distance). Will keep price rising nicely if he returns again this weekend and against Leicester he could.

Happy with my defence and will give my strikers another couple weeks to prove their worth.
    My midfield watchlist is:
    Maddison, Mane and Sterling/KDB.

I also think Ramsey, Kepa and Ings could provide good value and are monitoring them.

I'm going to hold my transfer. Rather spend 2 in week 3 when hopefully some of the squads are settled down.

Not that i'm sure they aren't now, as I only have feedback on forums to go off of.

Would using the wildcard for just 5 changes now be silly ? Guess it is. Wasnt planned either. Just see 4 or 5 worthy changes. Maybe make 1 and slow this mofo down !
