@mrbrownstone I have no personal interest in fantasyrugby, but no problem in you organising a super rugby fantasy comp.

If there is enough interest to get it off the ground we'll just move it to a separate thread

Looks like Super Rugby will be launching a new fantasy comp later this month. Format sounds like it'll be closer to Supercoach than NRL Fantasy (unlimited trades & no draft format, at least this first year): https://www.playfantasyrugby.com/

I recognise I'm talking about rugby on an NRL forum and accept the boos coming my way. Can't accuse this post of karma-farming

But if we do have any Super Rugby fans/fantasy addicts who will just play anything (and I know for a fact that we have the latter!), let me know & I'm keen to set up a league when it launches if there's sufficient interest.

If it helps, you can even start off by picking a familiar name in Sua'alii. Tries are worth 15 points and linebreaks 9, so he'll be a genuine captain option.

I remember Filth going very well in a fantasy rugby comp a few years back (might have been 10) so he might be tempted to have another crack

Was a great series though I really enjoyed it was a great contest.

And correct Robelgordo I’ll happily admit I got the Leo Thompson thing wrong.

I won’t be making any fantasy drafts til after second week of trials this year. Talk with Souths though is AJ, Murray, Tatola, Aitken won’t be fit to start the year. If I had to guess I’d say the wingers will be Munro and Tass. Tass should be very cheap.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I just logged into YAFSS for the first time since last season, and noticed the Player tab (is that new?).

What a fantastic resource. Not just generally, but to determine the Worst Fantasy Player Ever.

A few good candidates emerge:

Kurt Baptiste, for his average of 18.1 across 115 games - but just 35 minutes on average makes that slightly forgivable.

Lachlan Maranta - averaging 19.9 in 75 minutes across 89 games, he comes bloody close.

But I think it has to go to Anthony Don for averaging just 22.5 in 79.1 minutes across 150+ NRL games! No one else has the sample size, the near 80-minute average, and such a low average. That takes some doing.

Forum favourite Shitto Brad Abbey even managed to average 24.4, though that's arguably just as bad considering most of his games were in reserve grade.

I’m trying to keep my mind off it it’s 1 year today Thurs 9th since Silky my cat passed I’ll probs have some tears tomorrow I do feel low.

And Friday 2 years since Nanna passed. I do feel depressed but I’ll get through it as best I can.
