I think Manly could’ve rolled the Storm, a bit of a style makes fights deal, not sure on Roosters.

Penrith winning would be special for the 4-in-row factor, Storm winning would just be another forgettable Storm premiership

I think Roosters can win this week but no chance at taking out both Storm and Panthers back to back weeks
Gotta win the battle in the trenches early and then have a few blinders in the outside backs. Play the game 10 times we maybe win 2 of them

At this point I hope the Panthers win it all again, because 4 peat is wild. Like everyone else, I'm "bored" of them, but I don't really warm to the other three teams.
It'd be a nice story if Hynes had a couple of blinders and Sharks won the comp, but I don't think they have the team to do it two weeks in a row from here.

I'd like the Sharks to get up but they are the least likely....might as well be Penrith for the 4 in a row etc (reminds me of the 1950's when I was a lad shining shoes outside the grounds for tuppance happeny a throw)

I wouldn't mind seeing the Sharks get up also. I do think they'll make it a contest this week but Penrith won't lose. Roosters might push the Storm too but Storm will break them eventually.

I would just like to take a moment while the forum is quiet to apologize to Rabbit21. I don't want anyone to think they aren't welcome just because of their passion getting the best of them, we've all been there. My reaction was a mood getting the best of me, whilst getting frustrated that ref bashing and bias team support becoming so prolific on social media I was sad to see it end up here. So there's my apology Rabs mate, hopefully you stick around as your inside knowledge of all things Rabbits is useful here, but please just be mindful the others here don't share your unadulterated passion for the Rabbits or want to just hear why a ref got every call wrong

Yeah look, I was getting the shits as well but the main reason for my ire is that what makes this forum unique is that the content is generated by 'us' and it isn't just vitriol copied and pasted from some rabid facebook group or fan forum. Yes we have our own bullshit but it's ours.
By all means post a link but don't just paste PJ Mcfuckknuckles from whatever forum or podcast unhinged opinion in here verbatim. It kills the vibe and makes me sad.

another monday morning, i should probably try and do some work, but alas, motivation evades me.. tangenting entirely, but i'm jumping right on the bandwagon for the Lions this weekend.
i don't think being passionate about your team, if that's your thing, really has anything to do with whinging about the refs constantly on a forum that aren't interested in hearing it.

Brisbane Lions, why not? Reminds me of that time last year I went out for dinner in the Valley (forgetting it was the home final night for both the Lions and the Broncs) & paid $120 for an UBER home on a fare that usually costs $25.
Conversation with Mrs Aardvark
Me : $120 FFS, let's get a cab
Mrs : (After 3 minutes in the Valley cab line) let's pay the fucking $120, this is the apocalypse
Me: Yes, I concur

haha fucking hell. i know the feeling of just wanting to get the fuck out of the valley, but surprised you didn't just go nurse a beer somewhere for an hour at those prices.
my old trick re valley cab lines (a long time before ubers etc) was to avoid them entirely.. walk a few blocks into new farm, stand outside random house, and call a cab to that address. worked really well.

Yeah would use both those tactics pre child but babysitters and all that. That night was particularly chaotic and I think in that three minutes we saw multiple fights, multiple projectile vomits, someone jump on to the bonnet of the only cab that showed up and someone lie on the road in front of the line. Was one of those valley nights where you need a 360 degree neck to ensure your own safety
I think it was so chaotic cabs were completely avoiding the area

Given these parameters, I am certain Id have taken the $120 option too.

South Perth Lions playing Marochydore Swans this weekend? Is this like a third tier state shield deal?
Otherwise I have no idea what teams you lads are on about
