NRL Finals Fantasy 2024

Because of popular demand we will be having another edition of nrl finals fantasy this season!
@robelgordo is the defending champion and will be tough to beat after also taking the Lord of the Byes title earlier this season.

The Rules:

1. Pick a squad in the following format:

HOK
MID
EDG
HLF
CTR
WFB
Interchange (player selected on the bench at Teamlist Tuesday)

2. Pick a Captain (double points), you can change captain until the player selected locks out

3. Positions as per nrlfantasy

4. Rolling lock-out

If we start picking now at least we know the Broncs are on the table as they will be playing finals Footy...

Dolphins v Knights and Dragons v Raiders matches could both be abandoned after all in brawls leave all teams too short of players to continue playing, meaning no competition points are awarded and all 4 end on 28 points. Then Broncos beat Melbourne by 40 points to sneak in to the 8.





Scratch that, Broncos winning by 40 is too unrealistic

Last year, Chewie forked out for the game. Much appreciated. I've got it this year.

Just realised I wasn't getting the scores during the games, but now they are there, so rankings seem to be working.

I think rolling lockout is working too, I also can't change my captain, so looks like happy days? Anyone seeing anything else?

Yeah scores and rankings are all working
players that have played are locked out

I can still change my captain, I had it on Herbie, but was able to change it to DBrown

I selected Terrel May on the bench, but the selection is blank now because he got moved into the starting side in the updated teamlist - changed it to Curran for now

Would be nice to see the individual scores of the players that have played in your team, but that's not a must

I like being able to move the captains, that's how they do it in mixer. You good with that?

I'll add individual scores in hopefully today.

I'll fix the bench thing too, will show the player as selected even if they've moved into the starting side, rewards active players!

Yes, I don't mind the ability to change captain, as you say, this rewards active players if the captain is a late out

Probably a bit late but you could also use the format for a solely NRLW comp I guess? Maybe NRLW finals?

Yeah that would be pretty easy. Same format?

I've pushed those changes through, you can see your scores / team now.

@ynot I just tried to cheat and change my captain from Herbie to Angus, I was able to move the blue selection dot to Angus and pressed submit... now I get a Server Error (500) when I try to visit the finals fantasy page

I can still go to the rankings page

broke it again, same process, moved the captaincy from Herbie to Angus and submitted team.

The good thing is that it doesn't let you select a player that has already played as a captain without causing an error.
Is there any way you can lock players out from being selected as captain once they have played, or do we need to trust coaches from trying to change their captain to players who have already played?

Added some little progress bar thingies so you can see how you are tracking.
