Other than trading Haas back in post origin, I think that is good enough to see me through to the end of the season (please none of them get injured)
Guys like Yeo/Carrigan could well do better stats wise, but I just don't know if I'll get the trades and cash to ever actual bring them in

Just have to hope my guys all play out the year. No injuries/suspensions please

Think there’s plenty of fish in the sea at MID and it’s where compromises can be made. Probably 2 of Haas/JDB/Yeo/Murray/Harris plus 1 of about a dozen guys in the next tier is well and truly good enough.

In a perfect world I’m hoping Tatola can bash out some mid 50s without Arrow and Murray and get close enough to Yeo to buy in R20

    The karma-farming continues!

Feels like I have no real choice but to go with Ponga. His price enables my other two gun trade in's, and there is really no one in the mid range that is worth getting. Elliot the only potential one but some risk there for sure.

    12 for the round:

    Cook
    Tatola, Horse, Tohu
    Hopgood, Couchman
    IKatoa, SJ
    Bird, Lemuelu
    Garrick, Ponga, Manu

    Boyd, Fifita, Cleary, Bula
    Preston, Haas, Oloapu, Burbo

Couch and IKatoa a bit average but reasonably happy with the team.

Was close to going Burbo to Drinky, but much prefer going IKatoa to DEdwards next round.

Leaves me on 11 trades, and 540k ITB.

    This stats war is great.

Everyone keeps trying to add features to their website to prove they are better the best.

I, as a humble consumer of stats, am the big winner here.

    Yes

I’m somewhat hoping that having Slater as coach might benefit his play back in club land. But also WFB is shit and I’m not trading in more than 1 WFB for the sake of R13

I would have said Alex Johnston szn given the WFB outs but CG missing out on Origin possibly means they won't have to go left as much. His injury though might help Johnston more than hinder him.

    From the Eels website:

    As the date is approximate;
If he returns at R16 and is fully fit, then you've lost a $756k player for 3 weeks (2 more than you were expecting).
If he isn't quite ready to return (he still gets paid if he doesn't play) and misses R16, and you hold for the extra week, your $756k players will have missed 5 out of 6 weeks (R13, R14, R15, R16 and R18)

Far too much risk to hold IMO

    Make a good point

Could hold Haas instead and trade out Matto instead I guess? Hmm

With all the talk about the byes as a Head to Head player most of it isnt relevant.

Head to Head players are you bringing anyone in this week because they are a good pick up long term?

I was looking at Brandon Smith to Garrick or Granville Smith to Tohu + TVW

but TVW on the bench so risky.

Also Granville should be better during the byes and make some cash?

CHN an option at 495k. Priced at 36 and averages 45 playing on the edge? Could hope for some tries and has had a couple of banners in the past

Captain this week seems really open, maybe the most open since 2019-ish?

    My quick take:
    1. de Belin - de best option. Naturally I do not own him. Maybe I should find a way
    2. Hopgood - de Belin but with more variance. Have him VC at the moment.
    3. Cook - Revenge game after Origin snub, currently have the C on him and gambling on 85 incoming... will probably lose nerve
    4. Johnson - actually has the highest season average of anyone playing this week
    5. Harris - maybe 2nd highest floor but maybe also the lowest ceiling

    Honourable mentions:
    Moses - 30 or 70?
AFB - scoring is mental with tries as base but also nobody owns him
    Robson
    JMK
Tapine - Horse to edge unlocks at larger minute role? Finally scores a try?
    Isaako

VTW had a great defensive play at the weekend that might get Bennett thinking differently about him
