Will probably drop 20k+ this weekend with a 50. Pricing him at around 44 average

Averaged 50 when he came back end of last season after long term injury with 2 dud scores included ( expected when feeling way back to level)

averaged 57 year prior, minus a few points for VL ball.

Good value, solid tacklebot with upside

56.5 ave in 2021, on return from injury in 2022 he started slow but ended the year with a L5 average of 57.4

Scored 51 in R1 this year then off with HIA R2. BE of 74 so can wait a week, but would be bottomed out soon and you'd get a 50-55 ave hooker who also plays R13. Other best hookers for R13 are Cook and Robson, both of which should be in the mix for NSW

If he can maintain a 50-55 average that's keeper material and 100k+ value after this round's price drop

Every trade is a risk, but he has enough runs on the board for a potential plunge

How long are you keeping Trindall for waiting for a Cronulla half to do down? One week is reasonable, but more than that?

I don't know what I'm doing yet, but yeah one week ideally. I don't have a lot of patience remember.

What do you think now though? I don't hate it. I'd prefer he was a half or a hooker. But that aside, is he a trade-in?

    Which options are better

Trindall and Ford to Teig and Walsh

    Or

Trindall and Doorey to Koloamatangi and Keppi

    Fair

I nearly started with him this year. Just concerned how he will go and worried if he gets about 50 it's not much value and you're stuck when trying to jump up to another gun

Running with Grant/Brailey though does sound good if Brailey hits his straps.

I don't really like either. Definitely a case of wait for TLT. Ford and Doorey could be holds if named and Trindall could be a hold for a week. Looks like you must have some cash stashed, but it might be better spent after we see lists.

You probably don't need if you are running Grant mate

Most looking at him and Api as undervalued guns with a view as a stepping stone to Cook/Grant later in season.

be interesting to see if Ford is named,

of the two I like the first one,

I think doorey is done, not yet confirmed but that injury didnt look good and i think most have other edges

if hynes is named then I'll be looking to say good bye to trindall asap

Is there a point where we stop saying, nah can't get MCK, he'll be gone next week?
Hey mate given that Havili and Knight aren’t gonna be back til around mid season, Shaq is gonna be out quite a while he’s got a fracture in his foot, Arrow is gonna be out another 4 weeks having re aggravated his hammy, Junior 2-3 weeks out, the only one we get back is likely next week Hame Sele and he’s very injury prone. So yeah we are light in the forwards.

Chee Kam is gonna stay in the team and given that Hosty (back this week) didn’t have much of a pre season due to the shoulder surgery he had and then he’s done his calf I think he’s gonna start off the bench and build his fitness up. So Chee Kam should stay starting for now I think but it’s just a matter of how many mins he gets he mightn’t get 80mins every week but he should still play solid mins 60-65mins you’d think til Tatola is back. I’m expecting Koloamatangi to have to keep shifting to middle mid game due to all the middles we have out as Host and Jed off the bench can both play edge.

Hosty has played some middle before too so who knows he might have to play some middle for us. If you wanted Chee Kam he could be a sneaky one that does get up to that 550k mark.

Makes sense. R13 does make it more intriguing though.

Has anyone put any decent thought into this "starting 13 only" for major byes thing. We've got extra trades, so we should use them, around byes seems like a good plan. So I should start saving them, next week I promise Embarassed

But it does seem difficult. My feeling to some extent is to not rip your team apart entirely, which is the case in most years really. A core group in key positions seems better to me than trying to fill every spot. I'm certainly not gonna give a shit if I have no centres those rounds.

Hosty has played some middle before at the Dragons as well out of him, Cheeks and Jed I think Hosty is most suited to playing some middle out of those 3.

I am trading towards having a number of them now, so that I don't need to adjust too much when we reach those rounds.

I mean this nicely, we all know you've been planning it, you've told us. Most of us have an eye on it too. Every year it's the same though and this year will be no different. All of your plans (and everyone else's) will be up in smokes in ten weeks. I guarantee it.
