    NSW Origin news (Source: smh.com.au)

    - Tupou shock recall, JAC “in limbo” - to counter Coates aerial threat
    - SCrichton will make debut
    - Liam Martin in extended squad but probs not 17
    - Angus OUT
    - Api in extended squad to shadow Cook
    - “more to come” - guess a drip feed of leaks before the team is “named”

Aye, wasn’t expecting it at all.

I’m half expecting Burton to play as well, which is why I’ve resisted bringing him back.

Daniel Tupou to be picked for origin over Addo I think.

Chammas reporting Angus unlikely to make the squad.

    a few more obvious ones

7 Panthers in 22 man squad - Cleary, Luai, Too, Crichton, Yeo playing. Martin maybe. Api emergency.
    Murray back
    Haas ok to go

Fittler also said on “surprise” - could be Crichton, given its a 22 could be someone who won’t even play… Koala, Haumole etc.

Not fantasy relevant but Brandon Wakeham will be missing for a few weeks after giving Tyrell Sloane a nasty looking eye gouge in the NSW Cup match this afternoon.

I think it’s between him/Wighton for the other spot. Depends whether they think Wighton has more value as a utility.

Stagg is popular with the masses, but it’s kinda casual followers who don’t recognise defence and structures.

Burton getting some media support and I guess has combos with the Panthers lads but would be a bit left-field.

Just reading and Christian Nicolussi says it’ll be Staggs. I’m not keen on that he can break a game open but won’t do the tough shit.
