So you don’t think May is a must have?

Just a general comment, not specifically about May, but I am finding it interesting that many of the trade outs this week were "must have" players 2 weeks ago (and yes I am as guilty as anyone on this).

Guys like Arrow and Jing have so quickly fallen out of favour.

BE around -10 and look at their draw the next month. Even without tries he makes 200 metres and generally 4 tackle busts so a good base.

Could score 2-3 tries against the Dogs this week too, plays round 13.

I get the merit re Josh King though as he got 49mins I think that’s the new norm now and take out his try it’s a score of 33. I don’t think he has more than 50k more to make tbh.

Look at May hes probs gonna get up to 550k so another 150k to make maybe more.

This Kelly injury just seems like an opportunity delivered on a silver platter.

I suspect Gamble's attitude and energy is probably a better result for the Bronco's, but Billy probably has more of Kevvy's confidence to do what Coach Dad wants him to do.

Kevvie is clearly thinking Cleary 2.0 Drug I'd take the Gamble if I was Kevvie.

To those considering Cleary this week, I brought him in last week for Mahoney and slapped the C on, so I was watching intently and he didn't look himself.

Didnt appear to engage the line in attack and was hiding wide in defense to avoid tackling. If I didnt buy him last week I would 100% be waiting another week or two till you see him get his killer mentality back, because without it he wont be elite.

Then people selling to Cleary and him getting HIAed out 5 mins in on 106 breakeven

That could practically happen to anyone..

Could say the opposite that if the person you're using to get to cleary gets HIAed and loses money you're now looking for ways to fund that upgrade. It's all hindsight really.

Also what happens if other players in your team continues to get injured and you're having to spend the next 2-3 weeks plugging those positions and don't get the opportunity to grab Cleary like you planned to?

At the end of the day stick with your strategy I'd say.

J.King does score most his points in tackles and we are talking about a game where the storm spent most the game attacking. So I would say the try makes up for the fact he couldnt tackle everything.

It's probably vs Dogs that's pushing people to do it. I'm holding off. If he goes huge so be it

That is just a mindset/confidence thing though that can easily turn around in a week. His body is good, they gave him the extra time off to make sure of that.

Getting a game under the belt will have done everything for the mind, back into normal routine at training this week/etc.

You're right, he might take a few weeks. He might not too.

Could score 0 tries too against the Dogs. Sounds like you've talked yourself into it.

You're looking at his BE and round 13. He'll peak way before round 13 and probably start losing cash by the time round 13 comes around.

I'm buying this week. I think he's run off the cobwebs. I dont mind if I'm wrong (as long as its not a 5 min game ending injury haha), its just not a decision I'll regret in the long term.

If you grab every 'must have' you run out of trades pretty quickly...it's about this stage of the season that we start to see dudes who have been picked up in the first couple of weeks proposed as trade outs to pick up the next shiny thing. Often it's done without actually banking anything so its sideways as fuck.....

TBH my view on May is he will probably both makes money and might be valuable for the byes....maybe but he's already $400k and plays on the wing....it's not a lock.

If you need a centre or he helps facilitate a double trade for a gun go ahead.

I would rather pick up someone like Koula if he gets named...base price and probs gets the same run in the team, if he gets to $400k then mission accomplished

I saw him rushing out to put on a few big hits, I think he feels confident with his body.

I'd 100% be pulling the trigger if I could have done Jking + Katoa to Cleary + Koula.

As it stands, it would have to be Sexton out for Cleary, who I'd prefer to hold another week or two, at least.

JKing -> Cleary can probably be done next week, assuming scores this week are in a reasonable window of expectations.

Hard to say that a guys floor is in the 40s when he scored a 26 in 80 minutes, and wasnt injured, against the worst team in the comp.

Sexton still has an average over 50 playing at halfback (8 games). He fills the stat sheet (think of Hynes Lite which is a knockoff of Cleary Lite - a.k.a. Hynes). So yes the quality content is super diluted but it's a good shout at the price.

Yes he has some things to work on as I don't think he has put a full game together this year yet and he does love a missed tackle.

I'm holding as he could have a very high ceiling, plays the 1st bye and I think at a minimum at some point he will string a few big games together to justify jumping off at some point. In an absolute worst case he will just hold value around this mark. Just feel like there is limited risk and some great upside. Unless someone wants to make the case Brimson is taking over as the dominant half, the titans will remain woeful and his scoring last week will be the norm?
