King will get 2 stints, one ~20 minute stint at lock to start, and then another ~20 minute stint at prop later in the game

Grant will come on at ~20 minutes and play out the game, while Cheese will play the first ~20 minutes at hooker and then play 40 more minutes at lock.

This combination is what they were doing last year, but with King there instead of Finucane."

I wonder if a 60 minute Grant is worth the price tag then....

Mansour is  a gun on the left wing for Souths, averages 60. Should play there every week.

I meant in footy terms. He and Paulo on that left edge on Staggs is a worry for Souths faithful should Ta’affe be out.

Hopefully Cookie can find his running game again.

Bro that is such a baseless comment. He averaged 26.4 minutes last season and two of those games he scored a try, drastically inflating that PPM. I would rather take the bloke playing lock in a good offensive team, then pick someone who will be standing under the sticks for 60% of the game.

He's clearly talking about the actual game of footy and not the made-up game of fantasy footy.

But I lol at the idea of Mansour miffed that he's in NSW Cup all year when his fantasy stats remain impeccable.

Geez 48 mins under the posts, I think Meaney needs to take less time kicking goals.

With those km points mentioned a few pages back 549km was 21 points under the old scoring method not 27 and under the new method it is 18. That is a 3 point difference

    27*25=675

    21*25=525

It's not really baseless (it is what he averaged), it's more that it's a stat that is not very pertinent to what he's likely to average.

Something that is baseless is "will be standing under the sticks for 60% of the game" - I think you're better than that...

I understand that Coates just needs a couple of good games to get the $$$ rolling. He is playing in a great team and so it should happen at some point.

When I look at Sean Russell, I think the same should happen - good team, good draw and at some point a string of tries, but he's 70k cheaper and a decent shout at holding that spot for a while.

So I'm leaning towards Russell as a better cow than Coates.

Prob is, if Russell goes down, there may be noone to downgrade to if he's in my 17 (which he is).

    Used to be 1pt / 20km though didn't it? So 549km would be 27pts

I'm getting cold feet on Ilias.

    Thinking of going Ilias/Tuilagi/Paulo > Nanai/Vailea/Russell + 87k extra ITB

I wouldn't be stressing too much over Tui/Uto/Nanai/Mann/Grant/every other midranger. There's every chance the player you picked scores well in the early weeks. In the event he doesnt you just rage trade him to whoever you did miss.

If you went with Grant and he gets shafted by Cheese then you get an easy pathway to Cleary and a chance to see how the hooker landscape settles. For what its worth I see Grant being a top 3 hooker anyway, but time will tell.

Got Hunt in the halves, but looking at his past I'm just not sure he improves on his current price. I can move burton and or Hynes into the halves postion giving me $675 to spend on a CTR or WFB or I just downgrade him to Sexton and bank the $75k into the Cleary fund.

Who does everyone else have as their halves pairing?

Used to be total km divided by 20, then rounded

Now it's divided by 30 instead. So would be a 9 point difference

Starting halfback in last year's grand finalists for 300k is about as clear of a cow as you'll ever get, don't overthink it.
