Yeah that's how I felt about Raised by Wolves. Started off with so much promise and then just went nowhere with a bizarre end to the series that I wish they hadn't done.

    Currently watching and recommend:

    The Good Lord Bird
    Band of Brothers (still awesome)

BOB is an old classic, liked that.

Good lord bird getting the seal of approval ?

I'll probably still watch season 2 of Raised by Wolves, but its not going to be super-important. Enough interesting things there even if it went it strange directions at times.
Thing that annoyed me most about it was the dialogue was so hard to understand - need subtitles on to watch the show.

Mandalorian season 2 underway, I assume everyone that cares is watching it. Visually the show is amazing, the plot is a bit dodgy at times but its still good to watch. Whole bunch of tie-ins to the Clone Wars/Rebels cartoons coming now which hopefully they do well.

Just finished Brave New World on Stan, which is good if you like that sort of thing (also on Stan, Catch  22 is great if you like the book)

Thats the thing, ill be back to watch for sure. Unless it completely fell apart in season 2. I'm pretty loyal like that, will have to be bad to stop watching.

Mandalorian is good, Mrs wants to watch season 2 in one or two hits so saving up the episodes at the moment. Plus she wants subtitles for everything, being chinese/2nd language English, which suits some series like u said with dialogue.

Anyone recommend Better Call Saul as an absolute must ?

Anyone excited by any of the Star Wars/Marvel stuff Disney announced last week.
Tonnes of shows coming out over the next 2 years.

Ahsoka and the Acolyte are the ones that excite me the most
I'm cautiously optimistic about Lando, that could go either way.

With 20 shows coming out over the next 2 years though, wonder if they'll saturate the market a bit - only the hardcore are going to watch everything.

Marvel show WandaVision looks interesting from the trailers. Think it might be a bit trippy like Legion, but it definitely looks interesting

For current TV, Mrs Cow and I are catching up on the Expanse. We'd only seen the first 2 seasons so we are currently working through season 3 (season 5 just starting now)

Like the Expanse, waiting for the 16th when they drop 3 episodes of the new season as u said. Not as good as Battlestar Galactica, but a close 2nd.

Clearly you can't run a subscription channel on a back catalog of movies, but this really feels like they're putting all their eggs in 1 basket and will definitely be too much of the same thing. Ahsoka & Obi Wan are the ones I'm looking forward to, but there's no way I'll be watching them all. Agree with WandaVision. I liked Legion so it has peaked my interest.

Whilst Marvel and Star Wars are clearly the 2 biggest baskets, they also announced a whole bunch of other shows, mostly kids stuff like TV series for Cars, Moana, Zootopia and random stuff like a remake of Three Men and a Baby.

Obviously Star Wars/Marvel are going to be the biggest driver of subscriptions there is going to be a tonne of new content of all sorts over the next couple of years. They're certainly not going to let Netflix sit on top unchallenged

A while back some were chatting about Black Mirror, recall some saying each episode is hit n miss. Anyone got any recommendations on what episodes or seasons to skip ? Have watched just about 3 or 4 episodes, random ones.

There isn't really an episode of Balck Mirror that I would consider bad. But my favourites would be

    Nosedive
    The Entire History of You
    San Junipero
    Metalhead
    USS Callister

The best thing I have watched in the last forever many years in Afterlife with Ricky Gervais on Netflix.

Really funny at times, had me absolutely in tears at stages with laughter but also the only show that I have ever ugly cried to. My chin was going, can't control my eyebrows and was just weeping. Such a quality show with some really good messages in there.

I hardly ever watch a TV show that I take something away from it but there was a lot that has stuck with me. I reckon I've become a better person as a result of it.
