Yeah you can lose any week to what would be considered a weaker team on paper, just because that is the week their PODs go large huh

You are doing awesome in 4th though mate! Well done

Exactly. I did this to my opponent today(nearly to my detriment) I was up by a fair bit so decided to reverse my fermor to fifita trade to save a trade. Also dropped Too to match his talakai earlier. If i was in the hunt for overall no way would i be doing shit like this. Well done studogg. Cracking score

Funny that you reversed your Fermor > Fifita trade while i went through with that trade. I needed Lolo to outscore Pole by 18+ and wasnt confident so traded Fermor to Fifita. In the end i could've saved the trade and still won by 4 points. If i was going for overall i wouldve saved the trade but eliminator is my priority given how far back i am in overall.

Tough opponent for me this week. I think i'll be in trouble early if my Manly players (Garrick, DCE) score poorly.

It’s interesting how different everyone is. I have always thought of the eliminator as a massive luck of the draw competition, and very much secondary to overall. The world would be pretty boring if we were all the same though, so that’s cool you give it a good crack.

Who’s still in eliminator from the forum?

I see the guy that was 3rd was the highest score of the round… squeaky bum time!

Dang I was second highest of the round! I've never won a weekly either 😂 oh well. Went up 13 ranks to 7th, I thought top 10 was out of reach but turns out

One year I lost when Sivo scored several tries and I think we only had maybe 3 or 4 different players. Oof.

Maybe the Roosters will be overconfident after last round and Manly will walk all over them... or at least lots of points for your two 😂

Thanks mate! I’m getting a bit nervous now though as 2nd made up 100 points this week alone! (He got the weekly)
Going for back to back titles just adds to the crazy pressure this time of the season haha

Not so good this year at 242nd, been struggling from the get go. So midway started focussing on the Eliminator. Then comes round 18 where I had Cook, Haas, Matterson, Cotter, Yeo and Cleary not play and got beat. That's the way it goes but it's good to see you up top and a couple of other fanatics right up there.

Looks like a few fanatics in the final 64 of the Eliminator - Quicksand, me, Concussed, Clack Bocks, BroncOz, Bullbender, Roger8, Show Me the Meaney (who's that?) - might be missing one or two more. Whiich one are you, @t43597 ?

I can see Panda and the Mighty Gumbies in there too. A couple of blasts from the past.

    My POD’s:
Garrick, DCE, Hughes, Yeo, Mitchell, Carrigan, Cotter

    Their POD’s:
Grant, Munster, Aitken, Harris, To’o, May, Koroisau

I like how his POD’s play each other so they may “take points” off each other depending how the game goes.

    Is Hughes to ARey sideways?

Fairly even on paper I reckon mate - obviously depends on whether Cotter comes into the team (and makes it hard being the last game).

No drama's with sideways trades during eliminator but you could consider holding Hughes as insurance for if Melbourne pump the Warriors and they cash in on Grant and Munster?
Noting that (as you suggested) Aitken and Harris may lose points if this is the case (although maybe only in missed tackles and they may still keep a decent base).
