Jesse Arthurs signed for the Warriors. Apparently his junior club was Glenora Bears which is my club. The name Glenora is a mix of 2 suburbs Glen Eden (where I grew up) & Oratia which is just up the road.

No Worries wrote:The South Sydney Rabbitohs respect and support the NRL’s decision to not register a contract for Anthony Milford at this stage.

The National Rugby League (NRL) has advised player Anthony Milford and the South Sydney Rabbitohs that it will not consider registering a contract for the player until criminal proceedings against Milford have been completed.

Given the severity of the allegations, particularly that two charges allege violence against women, the NRL will not consider an application for registration until the court process is complete.

Milford was arrested on 20 September 2021 and charged with 3 counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and 1 count of wilful damage involving a vehicle.

Did I miss something, has this been reported before ?  I get all my Souths news from @Rabbits21 and he has'nt said a thing ???
Sorry mate I’ve been busy my Nanna has just recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and she’s had lots of sickness before this, this year. I’ve been trying to support Mum and my Sister.

As for Milford well I agree with the NRL’s decision here it’s the right call as long as they stay consistent which I think they will.

I’d rather blood a youngster anyway. This Milf court case could drag on and on anyway.

Looking forward to the big bash too. I’m not gonna play SuperCoach or big bash fantasy I’m just gonna sit back and relax when I can watch bits and pieces inbetween work. Who does everyone support? I’m a Thunder man. I think we might struggle a bit this year feel we are a bit short on batters.

Usually take the family to one Thunder game each season. Missed last year but went the previous 3.

The challenge is finding one that doesn’t end around 11pm. The kids are at least on school holidays, I have to back up and work the next day.

I'm a Heat "supporter" by default I guess. For years I've been saying "i'll never go to another Big Bash game", but I inevitably get roped in at least once a season, and regret it. Too punishing. I do like having the bash on tv in the background on summer evenings.

I will say, there is nothing better than Chris Lynn smacking sixes all over the park. Hopefully see a bit more of that this season.

Looking forward to the test next week, hitting up day 2. hope the weather holds up. Would normally do day 1 but its on a Wednesday this year and.. err, that's right in the middle of the week. Taking the Thursday and Friday off.

I enjoy the big bash as a form of entertainment, find it difficult to care about which team to support.

Rabbitohs Radio/TV chat with Ben Hornby.

So he said Ilias will get first crack at halfback. He speaks highly of him and his temperament. He also mentions Hawkins as the next option for halfback.

He says he sees Ta’affe as more of a fullback or running 5/8 at this stage of his career and they don’t wanna rush him. Hornby said he thinks it’s better for Ta’affe to learn kinda from out the back like when he played his first few years of first grade and that Blake could move to 7 later in his career or if Ilias for some reason did not work out at 7.

Of course the issue is Trell and Cody are our 1 and 6 so Ta’affe will probs have to play the 14 role I assume and I don’t know how long he would accept that for before other clubs come knocking to give him a start.

Also rumour of Hornby off to the Dolphins in 2023 to be an assistant under Wayne.

Koro signing by Tigers doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Not until 2023.   I thought Simpkin was meant to be a future superstar and signed through to ‘24 (same as Koro).  If he’s as good as they say, he won’t hang around for 3 years playing back up.

I can only think the Tigers have some hope/feel that there's a chance that Koroisau gets an early release.

In terms of Simpkin, he was 19 when playing this year - and while you could see talent, he didn't look NRL ready just yet (fitness/concentration etc)
I could imagine a dual hooker scenario, Koro starting in '23 with 21yo Simpkin getting some time off the bench (Koro could probably slip into a roving Lock role), then in '24 Simpkin maybe starting and Koro as bench or small Lock.
The Tigers have close to two years to figure out if Simpkin is the real deal before he can go on the open market.

TBH I think it's why the Tigers didn't go for someone like Mahoney who is a four? year signing from '23.

I think Moley put it out first but Fox League have posted it verbatim. If May ends up back at Penrith next year, that's a disgrace.

Redcliffe Dolphins like this Ray Stone, he is their second signing for 2023. It’s great to see them prioritising the all important extended reserves bench in their initial recruitment

Tele reporting Tigers offered Liddle and Simpkin for Api for 2022.  Panthers said no.

Apparently Koro is one of the players who isnt vaccinated. Will be interesting to see how things play out.
