Hey you and I think alike. I got so caught up with Munster guaranteed to be rested one week I didn't think about how he'd just give me a shit ton of points in the meantime.

David Fifita has all the potential to be the most devastating edge forward in the NRL...everything except the work ethic to make it happen.
he's lazy as and will become a flat-track bully player who banners against lesser teams but goes missing any time the Titans face a defence that works. $1m ITB so he's laughing each and every week. If I was his teammate I would be totally dirty on him.

And after this week, he will probably drop from 3rd highest scorer in fantasy to be only the 4th highest scorer

Yeah, it is crazy money for someone so inconsistent

But, it has to be said that IF the Titans make the top 8 it's looking likely that it will be in part due to superior points differential.
Their Points For being about a hundred points better than those teams around them, which is probably in part due to Fifita's 14 tries.

Cleary under 50% captaincy I guess makes him a POD by his standard.

I think Fifita looks about 3-5 kegs overweight at the moment. He doesn't have the tank to bust out these performances 80 minutes week in week out. Hopefully this is something he can work on over the off season.

Speaking of off season, I am expecting another summer from hell for the NRL. Imagine all these cashed up, young, hot throbbers who have been living in hotel rooms for the last 4 months, finally out and about and free.

BBQ's at Vaughnies soon. Good behaviour never.

Oh shit just realized that Manly said Josh Schuster was only supposed to be out for a week or two and he ended up being out for like a month.

Now Manly are saying Tom is only going to miss this week. Maybe the media wasn't jumping to conclusions after all.

I think Schuster was like 5 or 6 weeks.

I guess a lot will depend if Manly can win tonight.

It was very easy to predict he would score 9 tries in the first 7 rounds after 4 total in 2020, 7 total in 2019 and 1 try in 2018

A guy with 1 career 100 point game was clearly going to have 2 in 7 weeks at a new club

Mate I disagree. Fifita was a good pick and his scores were not out of the realms of possibility and he was cheaper than other guns. Likewise Tedesco was a sound pick but didn't start so well. You win some you lose some. Using his last two scores as justification for non selection sounds like sour grapes to me sorry.

Lets not be naive, it is also not all Fifita's fault, the team and players around him on multiple occasions do not inject him into it, or have the ability to get on a roll and he benefit off of that play. Titans led the game, had an opportunity, but to me multiple titans got cheeky and lairy on field like they had earned what the Storm have earned over years and years in 30 minutes.
Last night i put the boot into Fifita, but it is also the team. When they were up and in the game, i saw a couple of occasions where the play broke down when going towards Fifita and it is individual players making shite decisions. And before the usual snipe comes in, it's not just a fantasy whinge from me, it is that you want to see him in full beast mode for entertainment and wonder if the price tag will ever be justified or was wrong to begin with.

I have no trades and i am playing 14, got to rant about something else in here...

Is it just me or does he also seem to love standing wider than he should a fair bit? I swear he ends up at Centre a fair bit on short sides, which would be great if they actually got the ball to him.

Yeah the thing is... He doesn't go looking for the dirty ball, get his team out of trouble runs. I think at the 55-60 minutes mark the commentators said he had like 6 runs? You see Lucy, Kenny Brom, iPap taking that 3rd and 4th hit up out of their own end to get a quick play the ball and their team on the front foot. Fifita just stands out at centre, waits for the ball to trample a couple Luke Brooks and Corey Thompsons and look like the good guy. Maybe chuck him in at Lock, get his hands on the ball, take a few Nathan Brown runs and then go off for 10 minutes before halftime (30-40 minutes break with half time) and then maybe come back on at second row to finish out the game??

Hell just hand me the coaching role.
