FWIW I totally agree with Rabbits21 on this one.
Barnett literally moved to Lock when Fitzgibbon became available - there is nothing to suggest the shift would've happened had Fitzgibbon not been available.

I'd suggest the move was more about AOB liking Fitzgibbon on the edge and Barnett being very capable of playing Lock.
Sue at 13, is really Sue playing 20 minutes to absorb contact and energy in the middle at the start before Watson comes on and plays out the game at Lock.

Don't be surprised if Jones quickly goes back to 20-30 minute stints for 9-17 points (and the occasional 30 point effort).

Thinking Simmo to Jones. Or just suck it up and go Simmo > May, undecided.

More than likely going to lose my H2H this weekend, so having a bit of fun deciding who to captain. What do we think Wattos minutes look like this weekend? Scored 68 playing 80 minutes on the weekend. Would happily take that. Hynes/ipap/Brailey the other options.

its definitely a gamble, but its an appealing gamble (233k starting edge player).

When Fitz went off for a HIA last week, Jones went to edge (barnett kept playing middle).

Think Jones probably gets around 60-65 mins anyway.

This week they probably need Barnett in the middle because Klem/DSAF are out.. but yeah, what happens when they are back. Pearce not far off either.

It does seem a bit "fantasy goggles" to suggest Jones will start until Friz is back.

See the dilemma for me is I wouldn't mind trading in Jones but when my WFB is Walsh, Turbo and Teddy, that's potentially 3 not playing Round 14 so I think I'm better served trading in a WFB so I can field 17. Hynes and Laurie can fill in two WFB spots.

Fair call.  I think more importantly we're getting to the point where there's a good chance who you bring in, especially a cheapie that they may sit in your team all year. At best you want a player with some sort of job security.  At least Jones regardless of where he'll end up seemingly has secured a bench role and should be in the 17 all week.  I won't get him at this stage but based on what we have available, he's a solid option.

Those talking about 4 trade rounds - This is a warning on my fantasy page

    Trade Info
A maximum of two trades can be made simultaneously, so making more than two trades in R13 or R17 is a two-step process.

See seems as though only R13 and 17 are 4 trade weeks

A bit wary of the group-think on Jones after Starling.

One of my big learnings from last year was: "Don't assume 3rd tier players have any job security: Randall, Hopoate, Paix, Fui all burned me with this logic." Jones seems suspiciously like that to me.

It's tempting though, 233k starting EDG, could provide a cash injection that I need, and allows me to get Macca instead of Burton.

Could be a bit of a squeeze on when Pearce returns (watson to bench forward + Mann utility) + Lodge turning up.

A six week injury for Friz is really only four Knights games, as there is a week off between rounds 15 and 16, and then the Knights will have the bye round 17.

    I completely agree with you.
It hinges on a couple of things going right/sticking... but stranger things have happened and it seems a year for it.

That being said, most/all of the cows on offer at the moment require a few things going right - and like you say, at least it's an edge - if he gets minutes it will go well for owners

It's a bit like Tyronne May. Some immediate upside and who know's what extra opportunities may present.
But like May, the "downside" is still he gets regular bench time for some amount of points if you find yourself needing them.

All the cheapies have decent risk atm

    Jones - back to bench
Kelly - who knows with broncos
Suaali - may get plenty of games, may not.
