Re earlier R13 chat, who do people actually have as expendable cows/mid-rangers that could be upgraded to R13 guns (Moses, Matterson, Koroisau, Haas???)

I only have Townsend (should be straight swap for Moses in few weeks), Schuster after price rises, and maybe sideways SST trade around Origin (unlikely)

Rest are either Origin keepers (which could potentially involve sideways trade but again unlikely) or R13 cows (which is probably where some trades might come from as I don't think they all make it there)

I was just looking at this. I want Twal as early as next week (minutes depending) and Moses in the next couple weeks as his price drops, but my cows havn’t matured near enough to make the leap. Someone like Turpin spudding it up would become a candidate, but if he plays well it’s only the likes of Leniu, Alvaro, Fuimoana (the latter two of whom play R13) are not even close to ready for the upgrade in time. I’m actually kind of hoping Turpin gives me an easy out so I don’t miss out on the guns, which is a strange masochistic feeling for a fantasy coach.

If all goes well which it probably doesn’t I’ll be looking at this team for Rd13.

    Brailey (c)
    Watson, Uto, Lodge
    Riki

    Momo, Roberts
    Laurie, Niu

    Turpin, Liddle

Will have Tups, Welch, Tino, Schuster, SOS, Brimson that can be used for trading around that point.

Wouldn’t mind adding Moses to that group in a couple of weeks

In a perfect world I'll go going from round 13 cows to round 13 guns. Still quite a gap between Liddle and Macca as an example, but that gap is closing each week. Even better for the likes of Moses, Matterson, Koro, Haas who should have price come down while your cows go up.

As always I'll be targeting the must have players in each bye round, with a sprinkling of cash out/cash cows rather than just trying to maximise numbers. A strong 14 can beat a weak 17 in those rounds

Thinking about getting Stefano instead of SOS. What's his official BE? Plays first bye and should slow burn 100k. Any chance his minutes go up? 30 his least last game and probably 20pts for try

Cheese interview on NRL.com seems to suggest that Grant is a few weeks away (and that Brandon's staying in Melbourne next year)

@Welshy. Answering from last thread re $$ in the bank.

I traded Tino and Carrigan last week for Koloamatangi and Schuster to give me a bank of $750k for Haas and another upgrade. Bit risky but Carrigan had a poor score and looked like his minutes were dropping. I was hoping Schuster could match him and Koloa might match Tino over the year. Probably pay for that. This week I’ve traded Lam and Liddle for Walker and Haas, giving me this team, Slimy Slugs. $423 itb.

    Brailey
    Haas, Smith, Watson
    Fifita, Murray
    Cleary, Schuster
    Walker, Nui
    Mitchell, Laurie, Hoy

    Turpin, Riki, Koala, Fuimaono
    Utoikamanu, Walker, Moylan, Averillo

    Cheers, Slug

Hi lads - Feel I need to bring Pap in soon as I can see him being 800k+ very soon.

    Trade 1: Lam to S.Walker
    250K ITB

    Team
    Hooker: J.Brailey
    Mid: Tino / A.Crichton / C.Watson
    EDG: D.Fifita / Riki
    HLF: Cleary / Munster
    CTR: Niu / J.Roberts
WFB: Teddy / Laurie / Hoy

INT: Turpin / Liddle / Schuster / Leniu
    EMF: Alvara / Utoikamanu / S.Walker / J.Bird

Tino comes first to mind to make this happen but also looking to bring Haas in if possible over the next 3 - 4 weeks. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Not at all assuming he continues to start. I'm bringing him in.

Haumole supposedly good to go by round 5. Siro is going to be more like round 7 or 8.

I think Schu could hold his spot over Gosi

Not at all. With a break even of -8 still plenty of cash to be made. Kid looks the goods so as long as he can hold a spot i think its safe to bring him in this week.

Goal this year is to be patient. Haven't used a trade yet and wondering if you guys would consider Schuster as a 'must have'. Main concern was his job security, but he played well enough to keep the spot for a few weeks surely, but feels like I might've missed the boat on him.

Is there still enough money to make in the time he's got? Or should I cut my losses on him since I've already missed the 62k last week and be looking at getting in SOS/Walker/???.

Got Lam so want to do at least 1 trade this week. Going to be patient with Averillo as he isn't in my 17. Of my other players I am closest to trading Milford. Can't see him getting many/any attacking stats in the next month or so, and his base isn't huge.

TLT dependent, but assuming walker gets the start I currently like the look of:

    Lam -> Walker
    Milford -> Egan

Main concern with these trades is neither of the trade ins plays R13, but should help both cash generation and scoring in the meantime. Leaves 219k ITB for an upgrade for Brandon Smith or Turpin in the next week or 2.

I like him at prop with more run metres. His base stats vs Cowboys were 46 points so imo he will be alright. Also he only missed 1 tackle but let himself down with 3 errors.

Probably watching his options like Bulldogs, Manly, Broncos perform terribly and would rather stay in his non preferred position at a good club, rather than be starting hooker at a bad club
