    POST-TLT TEAM

    ytsb 2021 Team Tracker Post-t14

    Going into R1 with this team. Fui and Moylan is a coin toss. I feel like Fui is the better option because it gives me more forward cover than just Crichton. Smells very trappy. Fortunately Sharks vs Dragons is the last game of the week so if any news comes our re: Griffin's forward rotation or he slips onto the bench ect. I can adjust accordingly.

    My 22nd man was Sitili who I would have in for Milford if it weren't for the milf league, and my 23rd man was SST. I was 2k short of having a team I was happy with containing SST so it wasn't to be.

    ROUND 1 --> ROUND 2

    Scored 957 leaving me at 2706. Worst start I've had in years but not phased at all. Happy with everyone in my team moving forward bar Croker and Stefano. Hoping that the 116k ITB outweighs me trading Fui --> Stefano last minute

    I swapped out Fui for Stefano last minute to give me a 116k bank in case Ofa looked good (for Lodge) but with the news Siro is out 4-6 weeks I'm picking up Davey instead. Croker can get the absolute lot. Can't see him scoring well against Souths who are going to target the edges all game.

    Stefano got the minutes but had a really limited impact I thought. Didn't play like someone fighting for a starting spot so perhaps a concern.

    R2

    Lodge --> Davey
    Croker --> Leniu

    102k left ITB.

    ROUND 2 --> ROUND 3

    Scored 921 leaving me at 4878. 32 trades remaining.

    Happy with the boys this round. Really sucks that Davey went down, judging from a few "I told you so" comments he was a POD as well. Hope he recovers and still gets his opportunity in the NRL. Was a good soldier racking up 10 points in just 4 minutes, he did the fantasy fellas a service in the time he had. If I hadn't gotten Davey I'd have gotten Ofa who only scored 31 so points-wise not too damaging.

    Leniu was alright. I only had to play him this week to cover Crichton so no real concerns. He was picked over Fui and Alvaro because I thought his job security would be better but now I am not so sure...

    With Davey out I have 453k to work with. I need a 1-17 starter who can score for me week in week out and it's looking like a battle between LAM, Fui, and Alvaro. I said in R1 I got Stefano over Fui because I thought he was a trap but now I need to dance with the sunk cost fallacy and debate whether to cut my losses. The man has played well.

    EDIT: Schuster has entered the building. I am going to slot Crichton into the MIDs and run without edge cover on the bench. If Fifita or Riki are out I will swap in Stefano/Leniu into the 17 and play Crichton on the edge.

    R3

    Davey --> Schuster

    152k ITB. Lam, Milf, and Turp are on the chopping block. It is possible I will sacrifice 2/3 of these next week for SoS and a miscellaneous R13 middie cow or possible gun.

    ROUND 3 --> ROUND 4

    Scored 936, Rank 3149

    Stoked with 936 for the round with Cleary and Pappy. D.fifi saved my bacon. I still have no Edge cover on the bench but I can easily shift Leniu/Stefano into the 17 and shift Crichton to edge if necessary.

    This is my current team:

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Crichton
    Fifita Riki
    (C)leary Milford
    Niu Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Laurie

    Liddle, Turpin, Schuster, Lam

    Leniu, Averillo, Simonsson, Stefano

    31 trades, 152k ITB

    Trade-out targets - Welch, Simonsson, Liddle, Milford (some day), Turpin

    Trade-in targets - Walker, Moses, Matterson, Radley (eventually), Haas, SoS

    R4 trades

    Averillo --> SoS

    Lam --> Walker

    304k ITB.

    Looking at upgrading Welch to Haas via failed middie or Liddle hopefully this week.

    Wow I have 19 of your 21 players with Fui and BS9 for your Welch and Simonson. Im in a similar position as you. I really don't want trade Lam out for another half. I'll prob hold trades this week and use Lam as a looper for Leniu/Stefano

    Ok so looking at your team I think its a case of breaking it down
    While other options may become available like Blore, injuries also happen
    Probably 2 things needed are rebooting cash generation and upgrading the 17

    To start off with Welch I would keep, should get close to BE (Averages 47 last year over 40mins)
    and has potential to score more. Last week was an off game, his points will be handy and there aren't a huge amount of options to replace him with other than Leniu who he should outscore easily

    Then you have Lam + Averillo who are injured/not playing so this is a lot of money doing nothing
    What you don't want is another injury or 2 this week and you are in trouble (only get 2 trades)
    Forced trades are worse than ones you can make on your own terms

    So sure you could hang on but the rest is hypothetical. They aren't playing where as the players you bring in will be.

    You have Stefano/Leniu who are slow burns so that kills off 2 spots that will just sit there

    Simonsson really needed a big game to boost scoring so is a risk as needed tries to score well
    Liddle is a medium risk like Welch/Milford, but probably scores ok for now

    So to me Lam + Averillo you need to trade and then it's a case of looking at the best cows regardless of position
    On paper SOS and Walker seem decent, can pick one to play and then next week have cash to upgrade if needed
    The thing with these halves is they should score well enough to play and make quick cash
    Well worth the gamble

    If you would like to keep Averillo for cover then I would trade Simonsson instead

    TLDR What you don't want is having a couple players shit the bed and become urgent trade outs, a few injured players and only having 2 trades and little cash to fix next week
    Best case you don't need to trade next week

    ROUND 4 --> ROUND 5

    Scored 1114, Rank 3149 --> 914

    Feels great to be back inside the top 1k. Haven't been there since Round 1 last year. Simonsson and Leniu slight cash cow concerns but waiting for someone juicy to turn up at base price. Not interested in any current cows. Also have 304k ITB sitting there to buy Moses in the next couple of week. I've held >120k throughout this whole season so far which is kind of inhibiting my point scoring but I like the flexibility if a middie gets injured and can pick up any gun at a whim.

    This is my current team:

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Crichton
    Fifita Riki
    (C)leary Milford
    Niu Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Laurie

    Liddle, Turpin, Schuster, SOS

    Walker, Leniu, Simonsson, Stefano

    29 trades, 304k ITB

    Trade-out targets - Welch, Simonsson, Leniu

    Trade-in targets - Moses, Haas

    R5 trades

    NO TRADES

    ROUND 5 --> ROUND 6

    Scored 1067, Rank 914 --> 1074

    Well would have held ranks if it weren't for Roberts' dreadful showing. Walter's crazy idea to drop milf for upwards of a month forces my hand. I think it's time to use up all my cash to make some serious moves for my team. I need to trade in a centre to field 17, maybe two if Roberts is dropped.

    This is my current team:

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Crichton
    Fifita Riki
    (C)leary Milford
    Niu Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Laurie

    Liddle, Turpin, Schuster, SOS

    Walker, Leniu, Simonsson, Stefano

    29 trades, 304k ITB

    Trade-out targets - Simonsson, Milford, Niu, Riki
    Trade-in targets - Moses, Haas, Fogarty, Bird/S. Crichton

    R6 trades

    Milford + Liddle --> Peachy + Fog

    This gives me 206k ITB to go Riki + Welch --> Haas + Simpkin next week. Hopefully Niu comes back.

    I would really appreciate some opinions on this, I think this is one of the most important decisions for my team moving forward.

    This gives me 583k ITB to go Riki + Liddle --> Haas + Moses next week (Provided they don't exceed 1598k total (thinking 900k odd for Haas and 700k for Moses. Is this too risky?)

    I would really appreciate some opinions on this, I think this is one of the most important decisions for my team moving forward.

    huge trades the following week mate. Any thoughts on waiting a week Simpkin and bringing in Haas or moses this week? Unless you think some of your benches pump up it could be a bit rough? Guessing you are planning to move Crichon to Edge and Big Steph to mid or Lenui? Run the guantlet of no last minute outs?

    The issue is I don't think I can do the Haas + Moses trades if I don't get Simpkin in this week. If he scores liker a 45 his price will rise too much. If I don't get in Simpkin this week I'll have to settle for Fog instead of Moses.

    This is how the team's running out this week:

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Stefano
    Fifita Crichton
    (C)leary SoS
    Bird Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Laurie

    Schuster, Turpin, Simpkin, Walker/Leniu

    Geez you’ve a few issues. So you have 304k spare before trades?

    So you wanna do Milf to Simpkin and Niu to Bird? Those are probs good trades.

    Then you can look to go Welch to Haas next week maybe? Liddle to Verrills also an option?

    Righto. I have updated my Team Tracker

    Milf + Liddle --> Fog + Peach.

    Next week: Riki + Welch --> Simpkin + Haas and pray to sweet baby Jesus Roberts shows something to keep him in the team next week.

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Stefano
    Fifita Crichton
    Cleary Fog
    Peachy Roberts
    Teddy, Pappy, Laurie

    Turpin Schuster SoS Walker

    Leniu, Riki, Simonsson, Niu.

    Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

    That looks like a solid plan I think. Similar to what I have in mind but Moses instead of Peach & Tino instead of Welch as a trade out. Obviously you need a CTR though so Peach a good option.

    ROUND 6 --> ROUND 7

    Scored 935, Rank 1074--> 3207

    One of those rounds where all your players die. Ended up bringing in Simpkin instead of Fog.

    This is my current team (including this round's trades)

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Stefano
    Fifita Schuster
    (C)leary Moses
    Peachy Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Turbo

    A. Crichton, Turpin, Laurie, Simpkin

    Walker, SoS, Simonsson, Leniu

    25 trades, 241k ITB

    Trade-out targets - Simonsson, Turpin, Leniu
    Trade-in targets - S. Crichton, Verills, Blore, Miscellaneous R13 Mid

    R7 trades

    Riki + Niu --> Moses + Turbo

    My vision is two of Crichton, Verills, Misc. R13 mid next week for Turpin and Simonsson/Leniu

    ROUND 7 --> ROUND 8

    Scored 943, Rank 3207 --> 3383

    Boys are falling like flies

    This is my current team:

    Brailey
    Watson Welch Stefano
    Fifita Schuster
    (C)leary Moses
    Peachy Roberts
    Tedesco Pappy Turbo

    Trade-in targets - S. Crichton, Verills, Edwards, Miscellaneous R13 Mid

    R8 trades

    SoS + Turpin --> Fogarty and S.Critta

    332k ITB

    Thoughts moving forward

    If Simmo scores <20 I will play Roberts and move Critta to WFB. Next week Simmo --> Verills and Stefano/Leniu --> Koro is on the cards. Sticking to my game plan in getting R13 players. They're all dipping in price nicely at the moment. Hoping to save a few trades after next week
