It's also a testament to some of the good things clubs help players with outside of footy (even dirtbag clubs like the Eels - yes I'm still a bit bitter about Matterson, Moses & Utoikamanu)

It was worth watching. Sounds like the club kept him on the books until he found a second career.

    Bang on the money, cow.

They've said they've listened to the fans. Don't listen to the fans. The average NRL fan is an absolute fucking idiot who wants the old days back spouting on about "when men where men"

The 2 point field goal is yuck. If there's a market for zero to be scored throughout the year I'm going to jump on.

2 point field goal: attempts will be made in the last minute before half time when there is no downside for a miss.

    Hi everybody! It’s Stew here.

Stew not winning poster of the year in the annual awards is a stewesty. If Stew’s name was Trav, then it would have been a travesty.

So Warner and Pucovski both ruled out of the first test.

Marcus Harris comes into the squad. Burns really struggling too.

The big thing that needs to be eliminated from the game for mine is the wrestle, it ruins it for me.

Parra were good at that this year to get some extra penalties.

So what are well doing over the Christmas New Year Period? Anyone having time off work or going away anywhere?

I’ll be off work Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Then early January I’ll be having 5 days off work just to have a bit of a break, not going away anywhere.

I know my Sister has bought me a new Rabbitohs 2021 training singlet for Christmas so I’ll really like that.

I’ll just be having Christmas Day with Mum, Dad, Sister and my Nanna and Aunty.

Well I just went back through my fantasy diary for the year.

Looking back I realise trial form does not mean that much. I wrote Lomax off as he scored shithouse in the trials and I never owned him all year. Missing out on Mann and Fogarty as well hurt a bit.

My biggest regret was when Moses got injured I brought in Pearce when I should’ve tried harder to bring in DCE. I guess looking at value isn’t always the way to go, like sometimes it’s better to go with the more expensive option and the POD plays like thinking oh I’ll go with the POD shouldn’t always be how you think, you should pick who will score the best.

MoFo was great for me though he was very good value. Lucy, JTB, E. Katoa, Rudolf, B. Sironen were all very good buys for me.

My biggest trade in stuff up was trading in Magoulias.

Musgrove, Magoulias, Wiliame, Stimson, Knight, Williams, Paix were all examples of guys that flopped for me.

Oh and fuck centres they gave me far too many headaches and I think I’ll stay clear of Tommy T in 2021.

Also when you think there isn’t many options at all and then end up wasting a trade like I did with Williams to Magoulias, sometimes it’s better to keep the guy like Williams one more week as whilst it doesn’t seem like there is options one will appear the week after and you have that extra trade up your sleeve.

young Rabbits is gonna find himself in the top 50 next season with this kind of thinking Cheers

Just the very standard xmas to new years break for me.

I rarely plan anything during the xmas week, too expensive and too many dickheads around. A week of beers and test cricket for me, maybe a couple of beach trips too. Probably should do some DIY stuff around the house at some point too. I've been putting off building a new carport for quite a while..

Normally we do 2 Christmas functions between my parents and the in-laws.
In-Laws normally have a big function, about 40-50 people, that's been scaled down a bit this year and we are taking the opportunity to skip it and just do 1 thing, and just see my parents. So a relaxed Christmas Day compared to usual.

I am working over Xmas with just the holidays off, and later in January we're having a family break up the Central Coast for a week.

    Just on the two point field goals;
I wonder if this is a reaction to the low number of Golden point games in 2020.
There were 19 games decided by 2 points or less (but only 4 went to Golden point) - it's possibly an effort to attempt to manufacture more games heading to Golden point as I gather they're pretty good for ratings.

If that's the case, it's obviously unnecessary (and probably not really going to be utilised).
Out of interest, number of Golden Point games in recent years:
    2020 (4)
    2019 (9)
    2018 (4)
    2017 (10)
    2016 (15!)

The other rule changes in 2020 (well, the 6 again), and the adjustments to that going into 2021 (6 again for inside 10m), would seem like just more and more blown out scorelines than close matches (i have done zero research to support this).
