Is looping Talau/Niu a somewhat acceptable long term strategy?

Need to trade 2 out of Mitchell, Luai & Young to Ponga & Starling/Asi/hetherington

Can only afford Hetherington if I keep Mitchell, meaning I would play 2/3 of hetheringon, talau, niu.

If i trade mitchell i would have to play one of Talau/Niu long term.

8 trades left -> 6 makes me nervous trading out a potential keeper in mitchell

    any help would be amazing!!!

is there another DPP wave coming so CM9 could get 2rf added? the rarely seen septuple hooker strategy could come to play in that case

edit: actually sextuple but the spirit was there

Yeah the yarn is Milf to fullback, Herb, Boys, Staggs, Coates with Niu and Isaako gone.

We'll see tomorrow but if so yep another fucking round of centre drama.

Upgrading the last few guys in ya team is tough going.

    Robson > Hunt
    Leilua > Twal
    Butcher > Munster/Moses

Just thoughts for now, would leave me 6 trades

Thoughts on my trade plan? I think I've got it set this week, pending any curveballs at TLT.

Team before trades: 9 trades left and 29k ITB

    Grant
    Haas, Fotu
    A Crichton, Lolo, Yeo
    Mann, Flanno
    Lomax, S Crichton
    Ponga, Papy, Teddy

    Api, Carrigan, Luai, Field

    Talau, HTF, Averillo, Niu

My plan for this week is as follows:

If Field is OUT (from Moses returning), then I sell Field to B Sironen (if he starts) or McIntyre (if Siro doesn't start).

If Field is IN (i.e. Moses doesn't play), then I hold trades.

I'm set on holding Angus for at least this week since I only have 9 trades and suspect I will have other injuries pop up that I need to cover.

While I could sell Angus to Cleary from the money raised by Field - Siro, I worry that I'll get caught without trades very soon. Also, if I go Cleary, I can't jump on a bottomed out Moses, who could score close to Cleary's output for much less money.

I'd recommend opting for some better cover if possible. Lots of people are running out of trades and if injuries continue at this rate you'll be playing with 16 or less by the end of the season if you have a full bench of hookers.

What MVP system do you think is done better around the world? All of them seem to end up being a popularity/opinion contest unless pure statistics are used.

I do like the coach MVP system they have in the AFL were both coaches vote 5-1 for their game each week.

Well if you use fantasy points to give out Dally M points each week the top 20 would be:

    Payne Haas 8
    Harry Grant 7
    Damien Cook 7
    Daly Cherry-Evans 7
    Nathan Cleary 7
    James Tedesco 7
    Jason Taumalolo 7
    Cameron McInnes 6
    Cameron Smith 6
    Kalyn Ponga 6
    Ryan Matterson 6
    Alex Twal 6
    Mitchell Moses 6
    Api Koroisau 6
    Shaun Johnson 5
    Sione Katoa 5
    Isaah Yeo 5
    Tohu Harris 5
    Dylan Brown 5

Septuple could be right. You could play 7. Hunt at half, CM9 at 2RF then 5 more hookers between a starter and 4 bench spots. If somehow CS9 got half DPP as well then you could even go up to 8. Keep Havili and play 9 hookers.

Bulldogs wouldn't be the worst place to start your career. If it goes poorly there's already plenty of easy excuses to justify the poor performance but if he goes well then he's suddenly the next Bellamy/Robinson.

The worst place to go would be the Storm after Bellamy leaves. Don't want to be the first coach not to take the Storm to a finals series after 10+ seasons, there's more expectation of performance there than the Broncos.

Not sure if you were just saying “start your career” in general or not but Barrett was the coach of the Sea Eagle for a couple years 2016-2018 and they were atrocious that year. Record of 29-43.

Tesi Niu out due to wrist injury, likely needs surgery. Not actually dropped, it would seem
