I would if I couldn’t afford Latrell. I’ve had Hoppa previously and he’s done well.  I’ve gone Latrell just for the thrills and spills.  Short season so I’m not worried about future trades as much.

I've gone with the very boring Croker for 30k less. Similar career averages

    Pearce is the new hotness.

almost as good scores as Cleary/DCE/Moses for $200k less.

If it wasn't for CTRs continually falling in a heap, I'd probably grab him this week. As it is he is high on list for next week.

100% , Will prefer to roll the dice with a Reynolds/Pearce/Flanagan combo in the next couple of weeks and save 400-500k .
The sooner the upgrade the bigger the overall points gain over the rest of the season vs buying a gun in the last weeks

Have a spare trade up my sleeve this week so will see what happens with Leilua and Paix (in 18th spot) tonight

McCullough and Robson probably as good as Pearce for a similar price, but the need for a hooke ris not as big as the need for a half.

I am fully aware of the potential downside of RFM as a trade in - but with the twin damage of Capewell out and needing a 2RF cover for Lucy, I need to either risk Averillo or RFM. And RFM seems the better bet. If Averillo fails I am screwed. RFMs failure is less likely and easier to recover from

Souths are unchanged after thumping the Titans last round with Wayne Bennett indicating on Thursday that star centre James Roberts was still another week away from returning to full fitness.

I expect Lucy will be out. I’m holding him though.

I’m using Magoulias as a loop.

I will have to take one of Paix, Luai’s or Hamiso’ score most likely.

Thats the thing, depends on your team breakdown but RFM is even a cut price Leilua for 200k less if he holds that spot
Similar output and the spare cash gets close to turning a Luai into a Pearce

Luciano saying his ankle pulled up sore the last couple days but had a good run today and it feels good. He said he will be sweet for this weekend.

Need to play 2 of Drinkwater, Paix, Fogarty, Luai or HTF. One in the halves & one on the bench.

Thinking Paix in the halves and Drinkwater on the bench covering HLF/WFB.

Anyone reckon Fogarty outscores Paix up against the Dragons? Luai against the Storm probably a no-go with Burton lurking. Surely Drinkwater is due.

Potentially things could work out very well.

But I've only banked 1 trade so far, and don't want to run out of trades before getting a chance to make all these upgrades.

Are people planning on holding papi for much longer??? has been pretty underwhelming so far and between turbo, ponga, latrell, best, lomax etc there seems to be better options

I’ll still put Magoulias as 17th man, Lucy as 18th man just in case and then Paix as 19th man over Luai in case for some unlikely reason Lucy is a late out.

I’m holding him the whole year as long as he’s fit alongside Ponga and Teddy.
