So originally it was "indefinite" because elective surgery was canned due to the lockdown. Is this an update on that?

    https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/bulldogs/nrl-2020-canterburybankstown-bulldogs-kieran-foran-dean-stimson-nrl-injuries-casualty-ward/news-story/f7e3f459229b620de7d7f1727851b04f

Stimson went under the knife on Tuesday to begin work on a torn shoulder joint suffered in round two, the Bulldogs last match before the NRL stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to restrictions on elective surgeries, the Bulldogs recruit had to wait more than a month between the date of the injury and the first procedure. He will now have the second and final stage of the reconstruction in a fortnight.

It’s believed he will be out for between five and six month, all but certainly ending his year.

The way that's worded seems a little flaky though to me.

Haven't logged on here in a while so may have missed this discussion, but what do we think will happen with fantasy when the season restarts? I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I've got 4 or 5 guys who are out now who probably would've played round 3 if the comp wasn't suspended (Kennedy, Walters, Watkins and co) so I wouldn't mind having unlimited trades for a week (my current overall ranking would be impartial to a season reset too... Lol )

    Any word from failhub yet?

One trade that can wait if we only get two trades.

Impressed by some of you mulling your trades. I can't remember most of my team and won't look until the new fantasy rules are in place.
I wouldn't mind if they don't change anything and leave the extra trades for the rounds the byes were supposed to happen. Smile

I recently read they may use him as bench utility, covering backs and forwards

Scott Morrison has rejected the NRL's claims that the Warriors have been given exemption to enter Australia.

.... I'm still not convinced we will get restarted

Based on what the NSW Premier said "We always base any decision health advice and on the ability of an organisation to stick to that health advice" - I assume that refers directly to Cleary, Mitchell et al...

So my question is, how much does each week long delay or lost week cost the NRL? - I'm assuming millions...

And if that's the case then those players need to be asked if they want to have a career in the NRL because essentially they are jeopardising it for every other player - if the NRL can't start this year then there may not be an NRL to restart, let alone one with the ability to pay contracted players wages (albeit indirectly).

    Hey Gents,

Thought I would check in and doesn't seem anyone has any more of a clue here than anyone else anywhere has. I think the NRL isn't a sure thing to restart. I have a feeling they are putting all the wheels in motion and setting up the season as if it is a definite but they are still waiting on maybe 1 or 2 things to make a return a definite. I feel if it doesn't restart then there may not be an NRL to restart, or at least one with 16 clubs and the capacity to pay their star players anywhere near 1 million dollars. I am really taking anything the media, NRL, government say with a grain of salt as their appears to be so much discrepancy between every statement that comes out every day. Until we have solidarity between all parties and we hear from every angle NRL is a go then I will not take any of it on board. The four players (Fox, Mitchell, Cleary, Roberts-Davis) really put a dint into the restart as now there will be a sense of doubt, mistrust and feel that the players won't be able to stay couped up without losing their minds.

WATCH THIS SPACE!!! Lets pray for the NRL.

    TL;DR I'm still not a mod.

If we do get back underway I reckon I’d have to go D. Fifita to Lolo.

Would be nice to be able to bring Watson in too.

Watkins is an issue as well and hopefully Aubbs holds that second row spot with Crichton into a bench middle role.

Williams I feel is a sure sell.

Anyone seen any of this Dr. Buttar stuff?

Man, there's some wild ideas going around. Funding of a lab in Wuhan, 5G, Bill Gates, vaccines, censorship, the list goes on.

I still can't figure out what the end game would be though. All comes back to money somehow, but surely a healthy workforce is more productive and creates more $ scratch

I've not seen Dr Buttar. But as soon as someone mentions 5G or Bill Gates in there COVID rant, you can immediately discount everything else they say

The May 4 return to training date has now been assigned as a COVID protocol education day so that all players coaches & teams are clear on expectations.

Yeah that shit is distancing me from buying into any of this conspiracy crap.

Either the virus occurred through mutation or was man-made by China, but otherwise I can't see a motive for all of the other shit being thrown around.
