Finished the round on 990. Dropped down to 178 overall with a round rank of 7923. Got punished pretty hard by captaining Grant and not trading Fog to Hunt; losing 76 points overall which would have put me up to 72nd with a little more cash than I have this week.

Going to do Fog to Hunt this week and captain Teddy as I still don't think Haas will be getting 80 minutes every week.

Team looks sweet I would maybe just swap to Haas for the (C) or go Cleary ans hope the rest of the team is what helps you make up ground. Nothing else but a Pearce upgrade potentially jumps out and even then isnt necessary.

Round score of 913 with a round rank of 12479 and dropping to 595 overall. Captain roulette is punishing me hard Embarassed

Current team with 4 trades and 90k ITB.

    Tevaga
    Haas MoFo
    Matto Yeo Lolo
    Cleary Pearce
    Niu Lomax
    Pap Ponga Teddy
    Hunt Carrigan Murray Siro
    Talau McIntyre SCrichton Havili

Got a few players I'm worried about but I don't think I have the trades to do anything with them. Lots of cash sitting in EMG which means I can't afford any gun upgrades either. I think holding trades is probably my best option but would appreciate some feedback.

Only non-sideways trade that I feel has any value is Havili to Brimson but that doesn't really change the strength of my 17.

Round score of 966 with a round rank of 6432 and dropped a little more to 667 overall.

Have a fair few options this week so any advice would be appreciated.

Current team is with 4 trades and 90k ITB.

    Tevaga
    Haas MoFo
    Matto Yeo Lolo
    Cleary Pearce
    Niu Lomax
    Pap Ponga Teddy
    Hunt Carrigan Murray Siro
    SCrichton Talau McIntyre Havili

Immediate options that I've considered are:

    a) Haas and Pearce to McInnes and Moses
    b) Haas and Pearce to Twal (ideal for DPP) or Papalii (for coverage) and DCE
    c) Pearce to Moses and hold Haas
    d) No trades

Decided option e for my trades.

Havili and Talau to Moses and Doorey. Doorey seems like the best low cost cheapie with scoring potential and getting Moses means I have a better 17th.

Can loop Doorey and Siro, and SCrichton and McIntyre this week to hopefully get good scores.

I think they’re good moves mate.

Doorey looked solid last week as well.

Hunt, Pearce and Murray on the bench is good enough with lopping those options you have. I think others holding Haas will be running with weaker than that.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I figured that I wanted to turn 2 of my EMG into a gun for a while so may as well do it this round when I was already thinking of using up 2 trades and then I can keep Haas for the run home. If I had more trades in hand (how many times has this been said already) I would have got rid of Haas for McInnes as an easy swap then tried to get him back using my EMG players.

Summary for the end of the season given I didn't update this much towards the end. Happy with my ranking given it was my first year but a very up and down end to the season given where I was positioned mid-season.

Rd. Score.  Rd rank. Overall rank
    1.    838       9147      9147
    2.    875       6375      5126
    3.    972       3726      2422
    4.    980       2190      1115
    5.    995       1547      652
    6.    859       5805      528
    7.    882       4691      290
    8.    1006     5123      280
    9.    1057     172        106
    10.   990       7923      178
    11.   983       11671     285
    12.  1013     8080      364
    13.  913       12479    595
    14.  966       6432      667
    15.  1024     368        414
    16.  995       3204      348
    17.  1126     3276      362
    18.  865       17201    514
    19.  881       6520      447
    20.  828       19535    647

    Final Trades:
    Rd 16:Lolo to Klemmer
    Rd 19: Pap to Dedwards

Played 16 in round 18 then traded Pap out round 19 to avoid playing with 16 again only for Dedwards to get injured and then be forced to play with 15 round 20 as McIntyre was also out due to HIA. Trading Talau out looks to have ended up costing me as I lost cruicial coverage and he played in 2 of the weeks when I needed him. Moses was a great buy but Doorey was a dud and then got injured too.

    Lessons learnt:

    1. Don't change captains and especially not to boom/bust backs. Lost ~150 points in 4 week from captaining Grant in his worst pre-injury game and then captaining Teddy for his worst 3 game streak of the season missing 3 70+'s from Haas or a pair of 100's from Cleary if I went for him.

    2. Don't cash out cows to early. Made this mistake with both Fogarty and Luai cashing them out early when they started to kick on in performance.

    3. Wait a week where possible on new cows when performance is uncertain. I did this perfectly with Niu, waited until he was about to start gaining cash before jumping on was just unlucky with his injury. Jumping on to early led to getting Havili instead of Starling.

4a. Don't try to force trades in mid season rounds if its not needed. This season has shown cows will popup all throughout the season and trying to force the best one in a particular round can lead to more unnecessary trades.
4b. Additional point on this is don't trade keepers who have 1-2 week injuries early on. This leads to running out of trades and by the end of the season you're holding players for 3-4 weeks because you can't afford to trade them out.

    5. Don't make last minute changes due to FOMO or other bias resaons. Highlighted by pivoting my round 12 trades from bringing in Lolo to getting Murray last minute because he was "due".

Worst Trade In: Ignoring unlucky injuries like Capewell and

Worst Trade Out: Likely trading out Fogarty when he got a 20 before he averaged 57 to finish the season. Traded him to Hunt who only averaged 56 and missed a game during this time. Also trading out Lolo and Koro for their 1 week injuries looks like a mistake on hindsight; both I expected to miss more games but even a 2 week injury should've been a hold in both situations.

Best Trade In: Cleary round 8; averaged the best in my team from this point onwards. Also Teddy round 3 and Ponga round 4 right before each of their 90s.

Best Trade Out: Dumping early duds worked out well; punting Mitchell on his suspension also the correct call given he didn't come back strong and then got injured.

Worst Miss: Probably Starling, looked a 50/50 between him and Havili and choose wrong. Waiting a week would have given me more clarity on the best choice.
