Yeah great. Select an event from 15/16 years ago that I didnt even watch and for a sport that is not relevant to this thread or point being made. Why didnt you ask about the 2000 NRL GF? Afraid I can name the answer?Honeysett wrote:

I'm one of those who couldn't care who makes the GF its only the winner who matters. I think the Olympics are a little different only being every four years with most athletes only getting one crack at it.

My point exaggerated point was that second doesn't matter, every Australian remembers Cathy Freeman winning that gold medal.
There's so trophy for second, winning is all that matters. Don't get me wrong I would rather finish second than last but at the end of the day you're not winning so it doesn't matter.

But if you come second at the Olympics you win a silver medal. That counts in my books.Honeysett wrote:

Yeah I get ya, but the Olympics is different in my eyes. Every 4 years and a very large field of potential winners. Not ever year between 16 teams.
Back to the Big Bash.
Gayle's comment were so awkward but I think a fine of $10k would be enough - talks of not inviting him back are ridiculous.
Channel Ten are hypocrites as well, they posted what he said on their twitter account. It's the backlash that made them do something.

Apparently the lady who Gayle flashed was looking for the lunch room or something. Then when he allegedly whipped out his old fella he apparently said "are you looking for this".

You're the one who brought up the olympics in a thread it would have otherwise been irrelevant.

Re: 2015 Big Bash League
Out of interest, how far back can people go naming losing Grand Finalists in the NRL/ARL/NSWRL
I think I can go back to 1985, which I think might have been St George, but they might have been 1984 (or both) but its around there that my knowledge gets funny.
