I really don’t understand the Fifita trade out tbh. It’s only two games and you’re gonna have to get him back eventually so it’s just burning trades (unless you can afford that). Even then you have to certain you have a viable path to get him back in
Basically what I'm aiming with the Fifita trade (been set on it the whole time) is grabbing a R16 gun that is a keeper (who is Matterson for me) and then bringing Fifita back for Watson post Origin. So given Watson was already leaving my team in my plans it's basically an expected 100-115 points for the cost of one trade
In price terms:
R15: Fifita (745k) to Matterson (760k)
R17: Watson (700k, currently 586k with BE 1 and long min HOK role) to Fifita (745k) - if can't achieve due to need for WFBs with others being rested it might even be more beneficial for cash but at cost of points

Just on the Fifita trade - I'm considering it but from the angle of not getting him back in. I might not pull the trigger as the numbers are a bit tight.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 64
Having both Fifi and Cleary has fucked me sideways but did a clear out last round so have a decent bank
Thinking of going Cleary/CNK out Trbo/RTS in which means Ponga moves to half leaving me with this
Smith
AFB, Haas
Murray, Tolo, Matterson
Ponga, Johnson
Xerri, Nikora
Teddy, RTS, Turbo
Cook, Mahoney, Bateman, Havili
Fifi, Hutchinson, Carrigan, Pearson
9 trades left and $230k to upgrade Xerri to a decent half and one of AFB & Mahoney to Jrbo after that it's burn the trades as we go trying to upgrade where possible
Anything obvious I have missed (Other than my bench could be stronger)?

Not sure how I feel about that. Has he really rehabilitated? If so, good for him. Hopefully he can do a lot of work with at risk youth.
If he's just putting on a facade for the NRL then he can fuck off.
Warriors have to be very careful not to pick up any further players with toxic issues. We've done so well lately in that regard and we're moving forward as a club.
He’s a young bloke who fucked up on the drink and drugs. You must be a fuckin Saint the way you preach, ffs. Can you give up the virtue signalling? Thanks in advance.

C. Smith, R. Farah, R. Mahoney, A. Fifita
P. Carrigan, B. Xerri, B. Brittian, Z. Lomax
I have $40k in the bank and ideally I need a better HLF and to upgrade CNK. Really stuck on what I can do if anything with the shambles I have.
How many trades? If plenty, trade Fifita and Mann, move Ponga to half and start there.

Why sell Mann?@Rabbit wrote:

BE of 9, plays round 16, is making solid points and cash
He’s also cheaper than Lomax so would put less money itb for other trades and Lomax isn’t playing round 16 and isn’t making cash.

I'm okay with the trade, but it's not really an extra 100-115 points though if you have someone who can replace Fifita in rd 15 right? It's an extra 58 (his avg) in round 16 where you otherwise would have zero, but in round 15 you would likely have some cover, let's say Taupau which means moving a benchie up, say Havili for maybe 25 points off the bench, so the benefit is 58-25=33 for a total benefit of about 91 points (more or less depending on your version of Havili like benchie) for the cost of one trade. This is the case right?

I hope that's right in terms of him turning a corner. I really do.
I applaud Packer for how he's changed his life and the work he's doing these days.
Then we have guys like Ferguson back in our game who seem remorseless for their actions.
I thought Pearce had turned a corner with alcohol before his move to Newcastle but there are so many rumours of him being out on the piss all the time.
You never know what's going to stick or what is going through the individual's mind at the end of the day.
It’s never been your game. You don’t understand it, or it’s roots. It’s a westie, houso, poor man or blue collar, working man’s game that has suddenly hit the big time. Yes, there are exceptions, even the odd doctor or academic, but not typically. Even the Manly and Easts players of old either came from Wests, poor Brisbane suburbs, or houso areas of Sydney. I’m doing alright, but I come from that background and I don’t pretend to be the paragon of virtue or bag young blokes who will ALWAYS fuck up in a working man’s game. It’s the media, forum ‘experts’ and social media who beat these things up. Constantly...and more repetitively than ever. Johnny Raper walked through London naked for a bet. Tommy threw Mortimer’s luggage bag out the window of a hotel on tour. Myles shit in a shoe in a hotel, another QLD SOO player threw shit out a window on to cars, pissed on the floor in a Casino, got barred from every venue in Brisbane and Perth. Plenty were bankrupts, mysoginists, thugs, openly against gays, etc. lots of rape allegations. You aren’t going to change any of that on here. And I’m old school. I don’t like being lectured by young, or ageing, virtuous hipsters.
I bet you have a hyphened surname. Give it up mate. I watch this game for the footy, not the next lefty or social justice warrior agenda item.

How does the idea of trading Fifi to Matterson/Twal/SST this week and then cashing out Havili next week and then going Xerri back to Fifi after round 16? Would leave me with 4 trades

The Cleary injury throws a spanner in the works. I'll be keeping Fifita.
Trades will be Cleary -> SJ and CNK -> RTS
I'll be looking at 12 for round 16 and something like this from round 18:
Cook
Fifita Haas
Lolo Crichton Murray
Milford Moses
Nikora Bateman
Tedesco Ponga RTS
Smith McInnes Taupau SJ
Burns Brittain 228 212
89k 3 trades
