Yeah I agree, its def not a sure-thing idea.

Although for the sake of debate. Ill propose counter points.

What will you do if Fifita bangs out a 90 and James scores 37? Points and cash propositions look pretty doubtful.
My assumptions are made on averages. I get that Fifita is probably more likely to have a 90 in him, but the same argument could be used in reverse. What if James Bangs out 105 and Fifita knocks out a 32. Id be laughing.

In saying this, I did consider your point and checked the oppositions. Normally I try not to buy into this sort of argument/take it with a grain of salt. But Sharks playing Warriors in Auckland. Titans Playing Tigers in Liechardt. I wouldn't say that either fixtures suggests one player will struggle to score or do exceedingly well. So averages is the only true indicator I have to go off.

A more likely scenario, what if 2 players get injured in R17/origin. Then you either have to forego Fifita for a week or carry one of your othe rinjured players.

Injuries are going to happen. And baring Arey and Dugan, cant be predicted. I'm a gambling man, ill take my chances and hope injuries don't happen to players important to me (or in general).

I could be wrong and someone might be able to check it but I feel like Fifi has loved a big score against the Warriors over the the past few years.

Ha - Yeah well I guess if you have 14+ trades you can play those games. Fifita looks buggered, his knee is rooted. I'm actually worried he'll continue to average what he does..

But the thing with him, is you can't afford not to have the guy, as long as he's playing he's a chance of going big.

Hodgson is a maybe. BUt carrying too many hookers is bad for your team health.

James's scores do seem a bit inflated. But playing the tigers, and then the broncos (during Origin round) has to be best possible outcome.

Luke Lewis out for 4 weeks for minor calf strain. With Williams and now Lewis out for the sharks, does anyone think that soro might get a bench spot?

My week(and next of course) hinges on TPJ. If he is out then I can flick him for a cashout that plays 17 and after 17 Sua will be upgraded to Taupau most likely. Any leftover funds will be used to upgrade Isaako to Aitken/Marsters. Olive/Brimson could also be used to upgrade Mbye to Turbo if necessary.

    Team atm:
    9 trades 1k bank
    Cook
    Fifita Arrow
    Taumalolo Jurbo Harris
    DCE ARey
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Smith
    McInnes
    Brown
    TPJ

    Sua
    Brimson
    Hetherington
    Olive

    Likely team for round 18/19

    Cook
    Fifita Taupau
    Taumalolo Jurbo Harris
    DCE ARey
    Mitchell Aitken/Marsters
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye/Turbo

    Smith
    McInnes
    Brown

    Fonua > Hopo
    Fitzgibbon > Big JoeOfa

If i decide to grab Hopo as my second CTR I have to bargain shop under 630k for a RD17 player/keeper.
Ofa is scoring well but no where near keeper level, so will probably have to be traded again.

    So very annoying.

I think he'll play out the season. Cows season is over and you'd think they'd have an eye for the future.

A spanner I'd throw in the mix is James getting a call up for Game 3.

I reckon Freddy would have loved his attitude after losing out to Prior and that makes him clearly first cab off the rank.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Fred rested someone with a niggle now that the series is all wrapped up and to reward James (and with an eye to any future needs).

Yeah, that is true. An outcome that would really Fk with my plan.

I don't think he would rest anyone. He would reward the current team with the chance to get a clean sweep.

I think he'll stay there, as WT2K said, season is done, they shoul dbe giving the youth a run.

I wouldn't want him as starting CTR though, both his big scores he was heading for something mediocre but a try in the last few minutes saved his score.

Doesn't that describe every CTR?? Need to score tries to get a respectable score?

I can't bring in anyone decent for Fitzgibbon if I bring in a Hopo/Croker

I was looking at Joe too but keep in mind, if Kev decides to make some changes he might get a run in game 3.
