If Woods or Mbye leave, does it automatically make Martin available for the team? As all the rumours circulate about him being paid more for x games, or being outside the Top 30, ect. Would one of them leaving, automatically make him next cab off the rank.

I want to bank in Havili's cash.

As dont have MITB my trade options

    1) RFM Plays 17 and decent 45-50 scorer but doesnt help in banking any cash
    2) Hughes Mid ranger who plays this round and 17 ( if Ponga doesn't take Slater's spot)
3 Mann as a cashout who plays 17

    Any thoughts

Also, who do we think is likely to score more this week, M Wright or Brimson?

I think he's pretty close to a must have but if you are unsure then perhaps wait till after round17.

BUT he is currently the 6th highest averaging player and has the 7th highest total points for the season.

Basically only Cook, Fifita, Smith, Taupau and maybe SJ and Ponga ahead of him.

I guess the only reason I think you could argue he is not a must have is the position he plays. You could feasibly put to gather a pretty comparable 2RF combination without him - Taupau, Taumaolo, CHriton for example.

My guess though is that the winning team this year and probably 9 out of top 10 will have him....

Which set of trades do you like. Thanks in advance:
    (a) use 1 trade = Murray out & RFM in or
    (b) use 2 trades = Murray & Martin out - K. Mann & McInnes in

I haven't seen anything to suggest Martin isn't in the top for the dogs.

I don't see how Mbye leaving opens things up for him.
Woods leaving might help, if it means Tolman/Elliott to prop and Jackson/Martin into lock

Dogs don't score enough for a good GK to be needed.

Plus Holland is pretty decent and will surely come into the backline if Mbye goes

    12 trades 70k bank

    Cook
    Fifita TPJ
    Taumalolo Arrow Harris
    DCE ARey
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Smith
    McInnes
    Murray
    Sua

    Lane
    Martin
    Brimson
    Olive

Am sitting around 300 rank so I’m thinking of going all out with
    Murray to Hetherington
    Lane to Brown
    Martin to Jurbo

Leaves 9 trades and 1k bank. What do you think of this buddy?

Plenty of trades so seems like a good move mate. Bold but good. I think you'll need a more reliable upgrade for TPJ as a FRF soon but I'm sure you're all over that. And Isaako seems as though he has been a trade for nearly two months but somehow continues to hang around a produce at the right times. Not sure he's a keeper yet but certainly not urgent mate.

In short, I like your go all out theory. Do it!

Cheers mate. Im happy about that. As Random says, it can't hurt Martin's chances and Im in a league where one of my competing teams has Mbye and so it'll be a bonus if he doesn't play 17 for me.

Its been said before, but I think it suddenly makes Hopoate very relevant. He scores pretty well at FB from memory and you can play him at C in fantasy (and he plays 17).

It helps him if the only reason hes not playing is because hes on a performance based contract and they cant do that within their current cap issues. But we are really jjst guessing.

He was prob just late for training..

    1) I think RFM is a solid scorer and can bust out the occasional big scores. I rate him highly, even though I traded him out a couple of weeks ago. I want to trade him back in this week.

    2) Why trade a midranger who gets maybe 2-3 solid games for the year and will need to be traded out again. If he gets lucky and picks up 3 games and averages 40 points a game. (He hasn't scored that well this season.) He only makes $68k and is a trade out again.

    3) Mann is a decent trade out, lots of potential options floating around Olive, Stimson, Mahoney, Hetherington, Wright. This is the best path for me to get cash in the bank. It is a stab in the dark at who to take though.

This game is going to be a hard watch for someone who sold Cook and Crichton over Origin period. Even harder if there's a pack injury and Murray gets big minutes.

how many minutes does Murray get?

The least he's played after Rd 1 is 37mins.

He feels like a sell but could be very useful next week if GSTurgess are all out.
Chances are he scores at least 30 this week.

I'll admit I have no idea whats going on with Martin, BUT,

if its a salary cap thing and a bonus he could be due if he plays X number of games, and that is the reason he is out, then would the dogs offloading contracts not make that redundant? or does Mbye's contract still count to their cap regardless of whether he plays for the dogs or the Tigers this year?

Just going to go all in with an extra trade and grab Johnson and Mcinnes + Mann (Instead of Brown/Hunt)
Those bye points are massive and don't want to miss out on them

Will just make the original trades on my 'Autofill' team and look back in a few weeks and see which option was right in the end

Yeah I know, everything points to him being there. But as Welshy mentioned a performance based contract could be holding him back. But they guy is solid and had big wraps before this year even started. He dropped back to reserve grade last week and scored two tries iirc. I just don't see how he doesn't pip Toomaga, or even Elliott. I may have my Fantasy blinders on though. I think I will hold him this week. Take a points hit and then reasses next week. If he isn't playing then he will be a trade.
