The Betting Thread

Here's a stat you can turn into cash.

If games only went 60 minutes the competition leaders would be Raiders and the Rabbits both with 12-4. Raiders have choked 5 times in the last 20 minutes to lose.

In the absence of any advice I let my bets ride. Thankful that France won.

But now that I have a decent amount on the line I think Im gonna have to hedge. For me the England Croatia game is 50-50. Which sucks cause the odds don't reflect this and therefore hedging is gonna take a pretty substation outlay.

Considering putting $1000 on England to progress. and $200 on England to win.

That still leaves me with a decent amount of skin in the game for Croatia to win, but at least guarantees a pretty decent return...

Always risk v reward. I don't follow soccer at all but if you think it's 50/50 thats the safe play

I think France deals to them in the final. I have a feeling France wins in a crazy game 4 - 1 or something!

I took the draw at regular time thinking it would go to penalty shoot out. Didn't realise that extra time isn't regular time so was happy to get the win. Typing it looks stupid but I just didn't conside extra time. Covered the play I had on the SOO multis so I can't complain.

I actually thought there was a good chance of a draw too. So in hiding my Croatia France bet I actually took England to win in extra time, and England to win in a shootout which pad $10 and $11. Didn't need them in the end, but once the game went past regular time I was feeling much more relaxed

Easy to ask that question in hindsight though huh. At the time you'd think that bet was a lock and an easy way to boost the multi a bit more. Herein lies that problem with multis though aye!

I cashed in my France Croatia finals bet yesterday and chucked a bit of money down on my hunch.

Took France 4-1 @ $61, 3-1 @26, and 3 - 0 @ $17

My hunch is based on the fact that France just look like they could explode with goals at any minute. The skill and speed of some of their players is impressive. If they could net one early I think theres every chance the game opens up and they can take advantage of counter attack opportunities that will come up with Croatia inevitably having to push forward.

Its a complete crap shoot picking the scores but I'd kick my self if I didn't back my hunch on this one!

Took them each way when it went to knockout and saw their draw......but like you, I think France are a class above and if they decide to have a go, it could get pretty ugly for the poor Croatians.

Yeah I know but even without hindsight, the only plausible reason I can think to throw that leg in would be if you wanted some interest in the Fed match.....money well spent if that was the case!

I personally don't mind a multi but these days I have only really been going down the path of throwing 2 or 3 legs in.
