    I want to start making as much cash as possible straight away and don't want to wait a few more weeks for Katoa. Besides, Sharks wingers usually score crap so I wish I never started with him.

    I won't be playing Sami/Kennar/Thompson as I have Teddy, Ponga and Dufty so going Sami (who looks to rise at a similar price to Kennar/Thompson, seems the best trade to me because he's cheaper and it will allow me to get SJ next week for Croft.

    Fair enough. I jut assumed most people will still be dealing with players about to lose money (Croft, Aubs, etc) and will be forced to deal with those guys first. Sounds like you must be free of major issues which is good! Good luck with the trade!

    Master stroke.

    Ditto - I feel your pain mate but its a long season and JT is well JT so plenty of time for redemption.

    386 from 7 with Capt. Cam and JT bit of a mixed bag so far but no injuries that I am aware of so that is a bonus.

    SJ having one of his stink games.

    595/12 with the same halves pairing only other worry is Merrins minutes or lack there of and trying to work out how to get Murray and JTurbo in or just wait for CC,s to mature.

    I have Katoa and Kahu injured, Katoa can just sit there but the money tied up with Kahu could be used elsewhere, now I know its early days but would it be dumb to kill off 2 positions this early and invest the money elsewhere, I am seriously thinking of running with a 23 man squad so to speak, any feed back would be appreciated - Cheers Coffee

    Depends on ARey's fitness, but Doueihi has to be considered as a cheapie in the backs.

    What kind of price rises can we expect from;

    Mbye = 94
    Widdop = 117

    Mbye will go up by ~$70k

    Widdop by ~$90k

    I wonder who Cleary owners will be bringing in? DCE probably the most solid option. JT perhaps the value? Mbye the risk reward move but perhaps Widdop is the new gun?

    Widdop after his price rise would be priced at ~50 points, Mbye at ~40

    I got 811 this week, saved by Dufty. Looks like its at the high end of typical scores this week so hopefully up a few more places.

    Would love some advice on my team please. As it stands I have ($37k ITB):

    Cook, Griffin
    Taupau, Fifita, Lodge, Nicholls
    JDB, Merrin, Whitehead, Arrow, FRM, Kikau
    SJ, DCE, Cartwright, Croker
    Matterson, Doueihi, GI, Isaako
    Teddy, Ponga, Duft, Hiku, Katoa

    I personally think Murray is a must have and feel like it has to be this week. So my problem is now how to fit him.... thoughts?

    I have a similar problem mate, you have a strong looking squad there not sure how ya can fit Murray in without dropping a gun , my side is not as strong but might do a sideways trade Merrin>Murray about all I can think of ATM.

    Yup, that's what I figure too. I have no problem dropping a gun if the value is good enough elsewhere. It could come back to bite, but at this stage Im looking at JDB to Murray. The logic is value based. At worst Murray looks to be ~10 points undervalued, more likely . While JDB for me was a gun I had hoped would just hit value (which he is not). He could easily come right but in the three games he played he has been pretty disappointing, saved a touch by the try in week 1.

    I'll probably upgrade Nicholls to Rochow too. Rotor plays 13 and I think week two was an anomaly. He looks like a 40 point player give or take so I'm happy to keep him as a backup reserve until round 13, play him then, and in the mean time he'll be a good CC.

    While on paper that might make me (look) a little weaker next round, it'll generate some funds for an upgrade next week (not sure who yet) and in reality I actually think Murray and JDB will be comparable (and Murray plays 13 with no Origin risk).

    EDIT: you got anyone other than Merrin? I was considering him until I saw his price tag. He's hitting above value right now and I don't see why he won't maintain that. He might not be in the final 17 but for now he is serviceable.

    open

    764 saw me climb up to 234 in the rankings.

    Bring in Doueihi this week (ARey fitness pending) and then see what other improvements are out there
