Righto, without a parliament being formed for, it looks like at least 2 weeks, lets get into it.

As delicious as Andrew Bolt's tears over Turnbull not getting an outright majority are, its a bit of a bittersweet feeling, as I remember that my great state voted Pauline Hanson back into politics. Fuck me. Its like its the mid 90s all over again. The last thing we need is a complete racist holding the balance of power in the senate.

I'll  never get why it matters if its majority or not. If people are allowed to vote for others and minoritys then its part of the process. Count the votes and be done with it.
Liberal or labour - nothing much will change in australia except debt levels one way or another, which will rise and fall and be forever the sticking point.

At least Trump would have to get a majority of college votes to be President. The muppets that will hold the balance of power in our senate are barely getting votes at all.

    Hanson - 4.1% Aus / 9.1% QLD
    Hinch - 1.8% Aus / 5.9% Vic
    Lambie - 0.5% Aus / 8.5% Tas

In a nation of 24+M people, its crazy that someone can get less then 50k votes across the country and less then 10% of the vote in their electorate and be given a seat in Canberra.

I wouldnt trust 90% of Tasmanians to make choices for the country - they chose to live in Tasmania, so how smart can the really be? Yet a subset of the dumbest 8.5% of those idiots (and we know their the dumbest, 'cos they voted for Lambie) get to choose a candidate? Fuck that.

Repeat the arguement for Hinch in Vic and Hanson in QLD. Large parts of QLD are in the 1960s, why their opinion matters in the running of the country is beyond me. Gladys of Toowoomba, who is 94, still uses a landline phone and will likely be dead before Hanson's senate term is up - why do we care who she thinks should be running the country? Bah. Baby Boomers and whatever the generation before them is called have had their go at running the world - they had it easier then any other generations and ballsed it right up for the rest of us. Go away and let Gen X + Y shape the future of the world we will have to live in.

You mean the Silent & Greatest Generations? Very famous for "ballsing" everything up and having it easier than anyone else in the Great Depression, WW2, the Korean war & Vietnam war.

The ones who have seen the biggest increase in living standards in history, and enjoyed free tertiary education, cheap housing and reliable pensions, who have since consistently voted to take these things away from future generations?

    Yeah, them. Fuck em.
