in the sun dreamteam a tactic which works well to start season is a stack of the same team in the defence for teams with an early easy schedule

    I've gone

    Ederson,
Kompany, Danillo, Stones, Alonso (midfielder playing wingback)

Also how is stacking worse than spreading in defence when they all score the same (minus nicking a goal)

Surely its harder for 4 separate teams to get clean sheets than 1 or 2 top teams?

All it takes is one goal and you've lost 2 CS straight off the bat. I find it better to spread it around different teams with the strongest fixtures

Chelsea and Arsenal which were listed in the other team definitely don't have great opening fixtures

And any one of Otamendi, Stones or Danilo can miss out completely on any given week

If later in the season you see a team really strong defensively (Chelsea last season for example) then yeah jump on a couple but I wouldn't advise it to kick off a new season

you have 1 game where a better defensive team has a chance at a clean sheet vs 4 other games where lesser defensive teams have a chance?

Danillo will be gone for Mendy when he returns, I'm expecting assists galore from him

same can be said for United with Bailly only nailed on starter in that backline or arsenal with Koscielny + Mustaphi

    You can bet

    United
    Citeh
    Chelsea
    Spurs

    Arsenal

will all be solid at least at the back, can take a punt on mid tablers like Everton/Southampton/Liverpool lifting or a wild shot at some low enders but the top ones listed all get great defensive points consistently

    @Spectre

Fabregas in a 442 or take a punt on Iheanacho in a 433 with Lukaku and Jesus?

That was my first thought, but got a gut feeling Iheanacho will kill it this year playing full time

Give him a few weeks and see how he goes until their fixtures get a little easier. But he is a very good young striker

Chelsea have shit early fixtures and you have 2 of their defenders.
You will play Forster every week for the first 2 months at least so you're spending an extra 0.5 on your backup keeper then needed.
Rangel won't get a look in unless there's injuries

    Cheers...sounds good advice!

Do people typically make as many subs as they want through the season or stick to one each week? Losing a few points for an extra transfer doesn't seem like a huge cost.

    De Gea Elliott

    Dunk Ake Kolasinac Dawson T-Smith

    Iwobi Kante Alli Bakayoko Gundogan

    Lukaku Jesus Kane

Fully aware of the couple of non-starters in the opening round from my midfield, happy to kick off with them.
Last season i missed the first week in this league, this season locked in at 1am lol !

Im not keen on Kante, but he was last spot filled.

Give me a rundown on your opinion on the three of them, as if it is only not being available at seasons start, that type of thing doesnt faze me in fantasy.

    All three are defensive players
