Also, Moga to Slater is done, but need to decide to spend up and go Talakai to Bodene or wait a week.  Thoughts?

Brave move or a desperate one mate you wanna hope he is not marking up against Aitken then.

FWIW I brought Bodene in - figured why wait if it makes your squad stronger.

Hmm what do people expect Slater to average? In 2015 he played 7 games and averaged 36pts. That would see him rise to about $340K.

What to expect from Hayne? Well that's a bit of an unknown... I'd say he has a higher ceiling and the potential to be a keeper IF he can recapture past form.

Both are origin chances if in good form.

In my mind I think Slater is the safer option - but Hayne has more potential.

I'm skipping on Slater and keeping Hayne.

Don't make me change my mind haha. Might just bring Bodene in, fuck it, as you say why wait if it makes the team stronger.

Yeah I decided not to wait... Gubb and Lamb out.... TPGCHN and Bodene in

Just in case Bodene goes massive this week... playing against an injury ravaged Titans squad

Yeah, I heard that but he was expected to play. If Blair is out for some reason it might actually bring Niko to the bench as someone like Easy E will start. Macca should still play 80 even if Niko is there you would think.

I didn't expect Whitehead and JBromwich to drop this far below the 400k

currently $358K for Whitehead with a BE of 47
and $378K for JBrom with a BE of 64

    bargain prices for these guys

Maybe this week JBrom will get back to his old fantasy gunning self... if so I might have to do a double trade next week to bring them both in...

If the game tonight was a Broncos home game it would be cancelled I'd say. Crazy rain with all schools closed and all businesses urged to closed for the day! A bit over dramatic if you ask me at the moment, but best to be safe.

It's barely drizzling here in Bundy and the schools are closed. There are some roads around that are cut, but nothing unusual. Looks like we'll cop a bit later in the day, but most of the weather seems to have moved further south.

I'd just like to thank this forum for the advice given and also for alerting me to the fact the Kogarah Sizzler is shutting down. I would have legit never heard about it otherwise so I'm planning a final trip or two to snatch up all the cheese toast I can.
    Thanks Fantasy Fanatics!

Yeah it looks like you'll get some more later and it's heading down to the south east now. Just steady rain here at the moment though in Brisbane.

Nice. Worth a punt with those stats. I know it's lower grade but it maybe got his confidence back up a bit. Do you know if he played 80?

I've decided to do a slightly different strategy this year of picking players who turn out to be either planning to get injured/benched or plain terrible - as well as following Laurie Daley's motto of benching players who are playing well
It's a bold strategy....some might say slightly insane...but I was tired of being happy after each game and thought anguish was the way to go..... Shocked

In saying that...any advice on rebuilding an awful team up would be appreciated...

    Current team:
    Smith McCullough
    McGuire Faufusi Yates Hoare
Surgess Merrin Barnett Whitehead KBrom Smat
    Lamb Jacks Elgey Field
    Moga Idris Talakai Kelly
    RTS Cortic Suli Abbey Python
    With 127k banked

    Pretty depressing right?

    Anyway...main thoughts this week
Can cash out KBrom for CHiNa giving me enough money to upgrade literally anyone for anyone

My backs are obviously the worst thing there so either can bring in Aubussen for Moga, or could upgrade Lamb to Norman/CWalker

(Alternatively can just switch SMat into the centres, keep KBrom do Moga->CHN and then Python->Slater so my reserves dont look so dire this week and then next week grab do KBrom->Bodene)

    Yep, played 80.
I agree on the confidence thing. I'm considering playing him this week, I think he'll have a point to prove. It's just MCK on the bench that worries me.
