    Poster Profiles - SI 9-87

Honeysett: Interview #2 is under way with the man, the myth, the legend SI! Welcome mate. Now I'm going to ask a pretty hard hitting question here... What makes you the softest cock around these parts?

SI: That's a bit 'stiff' straight off the bat...Just my nature mate I guess, I have always been diplomatic and always try to see the good in everyone.  I feel like there is a funny answer there somewhere, but i guess that is the straight up one.

Honeysett: Haha, there's enough puns there to keep people from blowing their loads too early. You're well known for being the man behind the scenes setting up the leagues, when do you decide that was your thing and how did it come about?

SI: Back in 2012/13 (and earlier) we used to report our Leagues weekly progress on Sportal for ST to compile; it was the only way to see how everyone on the forum was travelling back then.  Early 2013 Tombsy was flying solo with the Leagues (I think DK did it with him the year before) and approached me for a hand.  I found perverse pleasure in the pain of it all.  When Tombsy's CFS took off  Bren jumped straight in and smashed it out the following year with me.  Nowadays it is not a chore anymore with so many people putting their hands up with it.

Honeysett: Well everyone loves ya for it mate so really appreciate it. Give us some backstory on how you came to be admin, where'd you come from to get to be Randoms right hand man

SI: Gotta give head to get ahead mate...I figure Random had a hard time balancing the benefits of having my soft cockery as an admin/mod verses my technological shortcomings.  At the end of the day the bloke just probably figured if I was admin I'd keep doing the Leagues so he didn't have to.

Honeysett: Hahaha that's brilliant. You're a Tigers man by heart and a QLDer by trade, why'd you pick two cunty teams?
Or to be nicer, why the Tigers and QLD

SI: Hahaha, grew up in Greenvale, Charlies' Trousers, and Townsville, where Rugby League is EVERYTHING.  When I was a youngster it was still the NSWRL so technically pretty much every Queenslander supported a NSW team.  When the Broncos came in I wasn't interested.  By the time the Cows came in I was just too diehard Black and Gold to ever change allegiances.

Honeysett: If you were a Broncos fan I think I'd hate you haha. Like Milchy you've met some of the lads before, give us a run down on who you've met and what they were like

SI: If I was a Broncos fan I'd hate me too!  I've met that Honeysett bloke, he goes allright I spose...Went to the Manly game at Leichhardt with Milchy and Bender last year, couldn't believe it till I saw it that they were just as obsessed with DT/Fantasy as me.  Standing on the hill in God's Country thumping the shittest of shit cunts and we had our heads buried in our phones waiting for Taupau and Ted's scores to update instead of watching the actual game!  We met Krump and No Worries at ANZ for the Parra Easter clash after that and got a few  beers into us.  Krumpy and No Worries had got a headstart when I rocked up and kept us entertained throughout the game!  Missed out on meeting a few of the other lads over there, but maybe this year...On a serious note, I really appreciated the lads helping make an awesome holiday over there and they were all just how you expect them to be, no pretense, no bullshit, just good fucking blokes!  Between those lads and yourself, everyone I have met in person shows why the forum is such a  wonderful community.

Honeysett: That's awesome to hear mate! I'm still fucking stoked you gave me a free ticket to GNR. What a legend. I asked Milchy the question, so same same. How'd you lose your Vs?

SI: I went allright wit da ladiez when I was younger, haha.  Always seemed to have a GF but the world conspired against me on many occasions when trying to get off 3rd base and feared I could die a virgin at one stage.  Actually lost the V Plates lateish in the end, at 17.  I was drinking Bacardi with a mate's Sister on a Sunday arvo (he was at a Duke of Edinburgh camp) listening to The Cure and managed to charm the pants off  her so to speak. She had to go to Church with her parents STRAIGHT afterwards, and told me later she said she felt like the whole Church knew her sins and was judging her the whole time.

Honeysett: Hahaha! Had to purge herself of the sins. What's been your proudest moment mate?

SI: Wowsers!  Not a moment as such and this is a cliche', but honestly the thing I am most proud of is my 2 wonderful girls.  17 and 18 now and have never been toooooo much trouble growing up and are just great human beings.  The fact that at their age they still both want to come over and spend time with their Dad every weekend makes me proud.

Honeysett: That would make anyone happy mate, they're lucky to have ya. Give us your top three movies

SI: Starship Troopers is right up there, for realises!  Just love that movie, and I never get sick of it.  Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Jim Carrey as you have never seen him along with Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Wilkinson).  Hard to name a 3rd so will give 3 classics that I find hard to separate-Platoon/Predator/Aliens.

Honeysett: great choices there mate, nice one. Aside from myself pick three people in the world living or dead that you'd like to get on the piss with

SI:That was tougher than it should have been: James Gandolfini, Robert Smith, Megyn Price.

Honeysett: What's the reason behind it?

SI: The Sopranos is my favourite Series ever and Tony was an incredible character.  Would love to ask Robert Smith about pretty much every song he has ever written.  And Megyn Price so I can slip a rohy in her drink.

Honeysett: Hahaha classic. For those that don't know you how'd you stumble onto the name SI?

SI: It is the shortened version of my original poster name on Sportal: standard-issue.  I have no idea how I chose standard-issue in the first place.

Honeysett: alzheimer's kicking in? Haha. So Milchcow jumped into a window to avoid his crush, what's your most embarrassing moment?

SI: There's been a few and they always involved alcohol.  Probably the worst was when I was chased up a beach in front of my mates and this chick I'd been putting the hard word on by my Mum brandishing a tree branch!  We were 18 and pulled an all nighter at a bonfire where I grew up in Townsville's Northern Beaches.  Borrowed Mum's car to pick everyone up and parked up for the night, but sent my sober mate up the road to get breakfast the next morning in Mum's car.  He lost it sideways  showing off and smashed it into a Paperbark tree at the beach entrance.  A couple of people heard it and came to investigate and Mum was one of them as we only lived about 100 metres from the beach.  I remember hearing "Matthew!!!" from behind me and turned around to see my Mum (who is the nicest, gentlest, kindest person in the history of forever) picking up a big arsed stick and running towards me!!!

Honeysett: HAHAHA fucking classic. Ah mums they're classic aren't they.
Well it's just turned 9 o clock over here I'm sure it's a few hours past your bed time so we'll wrap it up with one last question. You've seen em in person, just how good looking are my hands?

SI: On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a Maubbs, ridiculously good looking!

    Honeysett: Couldn't go any higher!
You know what I'll ask one more
Who's your favourite poster? Only fair since I asked Milch

SI: That's an easy one-DynamicScott!  Bloke is hilarious and really knows his footy and is Fantasy savvy.  Awesome avatar as well.
I just found a name of a poster who hasn't posted, and now it sounds douchey.  I can't answer that question mate, it's a cop out but I can't.

Honeysett: Hahaha that is a cop out! Typical soft cock response. Perfect way to end it. Thanks for your time mate

SI: Hahaha, no worries mate.  Thankyou.

Hahaha most surprising part of the whole interview was that SI knocked off his mate's sister.

    Shocked Shocked Shocked

Wowsers that's the sort of behaviour that makes me wonder if SI really is the softcocked good guy that he makes out to be...or a sneaky sister assassin in disguise!

Bit miffed that you didn't put SI on the spot and ask him who his favourite poster is.

If I get put on the spot like that, then everyone should be

PS - now that we know SI uses Bacardi to score, can we call him Josh Dugan?

In a way, I think it was appropriate that you had a technological fuck-up given it was SI's interview you were trying to paste.

Thanks for putting the rest up, it did seem a little incomplete at first.

So wait... was this happening whilst the parents were upstairs getting ready for Church? Like some poor shmuck is trying to get his half windsor knot right in the mirror and a young SI is having his daughter downstairs?
