@Neillo wrote:So...the weekend was probably the most depressing round of fantasy for me ever

Feels like I'm now up a certain creek without a certain instrument - every single decision I made turned out to be awful and I'm way off the pace

    Team:
    Smith (c) Macca
JBrom Sad  DSaifiti Mad IPapalii Yates
Surgess Merrin McGuire KBrom SMat Kaufusi
    Taylor Lamb Elgey Field
    Kelly Talakai Idris Moga
Hayne RTS Python  Sad  Suli Cotric

As you can see...extremely craptacular after rnd 1...the only thing keeping me going now is my picture of Boozy on top of my computer and my Rocky soundtrack...
And just to compound things a few days before round one I had McInnes, DeBelin, Gutho and no JBrom in there.....

Good news is my cheapies are making money and my "guns" are hopefully going to come right long term

I've got 5k in the bank so am about 4k short of doing JBrom/Saifit - Barnett/Wallace

Lost cause? Where to go from here?

Haha picture of me, hope you didn't find that camera I lost years ago when I was backpacking;)

To be honest I don't think you are bad off, just hit all the guns kn their off day, though you can catch up with some cash makers and using that to buy some bottomed out guns later

The fact you have all the right cows and mid rangers means it just needs a few tweaks.
Jbrom to a sub 350k forward could be a solid move for now. Wallace perhaps

Then use that money to keep an eye on Taylor for a week or 2 in case you need an exit strategy.
Could give Saifiti another week or move kaufusi to frf and pick up a sub 300k 2RF forward, though still saving some money for above.

Edited: Just caught up on the rest of the thread, it moves so fast these days haha.
    What Shanbon said Smile

On another note guys I swear SKD did a lot more than what his 23 reflects. I dont have him but i was surprised to see that. Anyways.

    Bunty Afoa?

Now that SKD has moved from centre to wing, expect his fantasy output to drop a little (especially as he's outside ball hog Ferguson)

Bunty Afoa's usefulness depends on the fitness of Bodene and Mannering

Hmm cheers Chew. Im gonna rewatch the game and try pick whats different. His last 5 avg is a tick over 42 so he's not gonna leak dramatically. I want to watch wallaces minutes for one more week and can straight trade anyway. But i want barnett to be in the 17 asap cos he has the gun potential imo. Ive got mannerz so he can probably become barnett.

He also averaged 49 minutes for his last 5 games last year. I think he only got 40 or thereabouts last weekend. Not sure if they will work him up to more minutes but I am pretty sure they just swapped Daniel for Jacob and then back again in the second half - so they essentially filled 1 prop spot together. If that is the permanent plan his minutes could be a problem. Jacob played wider last year but seems to have bulked up so I suspect he will stay in the middle, especially with the Buhrer and Sione on the edges. I somehow ended up with the plodder and he certainly has his head on the chopping block.

Just been looking at the NSW Cup stats in detail

OMG it is so much more detailed than what is available to us for the NRL

    http://www.nswrl.com.au/content/dam/nswrl/documents/isp-stats-reports-2017/Rd1-RoosTigers.pdf

They publish metres after contact, breakdown of what penalties are for, dummy runs.
Wish they made this available for NRL too

For what its worth, Daniel Mortimer racked up 90 fantasy points on the weekend playing halfback for Newtown
1 try, 2 line breaks, 235 kick metres, 120 run metres, 11 tacklebreaks, 20 tackles and 3 offloads

Yeh it sux i got spooked on mcinnes, wallace, barnett, mgordon and keary dammit. But i thought id go with the brain and do the gun thing. No regrets though. 755, rank ~10K and 25 rounds to go.

Re: gallen i personally saw him play close to his normal game. But nowehre NEAR enough offloads for my fantasy eyes, and his arm was free at least 3 times. I was yelling at the tv lol. Back in the day he offloaded given less than half a chance. And im preeeetty sure i saw him take a crash ball and got stopped half a metre from the line. I actually thought he was going over (fantasy bias).

On another note guys I swear SKD did a lot more than what his 23 reflects. I dont have him but i was surprised to see that. Anyways.

    Bunty Afoa?

I got a lowly 754 (apologies to L2 and Elite), so looks like you are first cab off the rank in my long slow clamber back up to the top.
