    For players $200k and below

Hayne, Idris are pretty much must have

There are several cheap hookers who will get game time Brailey, Nu Brown, King, Pritchard, potential Peats replacement, but none of them scream must have and all have risks

For forwards its really a case of wait for TLT to get an idea of bench composition (and hope 21 man squads don't make it impossible to work out)

For halves, Elgey is cheap but I wouldn't expect great things fantasy wise. Hingano should play 2 rounds whilst Foran waits it out, but after that likely to nick off. Jai Field is the guy every fantasy player wants to be named - but other than being quick he doesn't appear to actually be that good so its a bit more wishful thinking (and other Dragons halves being rubbish) than genuine expectations.

In the backs Braidon Burns or Siosifa Talaki will replace injured Aaron Gray for a while at Souths. Dylan Phythian looks to have the Knights fullback spot.

John Olive, Brian Kelly, Curtis Scott, Kalyn Ponga, Dylan Edwards, Nathan Davis, Nick Cotric, Mosese Suli are amongst the rookies to keep an eye out for in TLT but none are assured a spot (Suli from the Tigers isn't even in the system yet, but started in their last trial - he's the guy they just spent over $1million on despite him never even playing a complete game in U20s)

There's also Uate and Super Kenny Sio in the slightly above base price bracket who should at least play and at least have better job security.

McInnes seems to have emerged as the most solid bet for his price compared to most of his competitors. The only things that could possibly intrigue (/trap) me more would be
-Kayasa Pritchard named as the Eels hooker with 4 forwards on the bench
-Jayden Brailey, even with Nu Brown backing him up (even just as an NPR cashie)
But neither have as good job security as McInnes :/
It really depends what McInnes does. If he comes out and scores 50s I would lament a solid buy but still be happier I went the cashie option (assuming either can hit solid >30s). But McInnes may well be the best option to make that leap from gun to 60 point super-gun this year. An 80 minute Hodgson might argue but I always feel safer with tackles in the bank.

    Has @GreenMachine been sighted yet?

Always like reading his input as a fellow proponent of the Guns n Rookies system haha

Bit spooked after last years result but a few drafts stacked with mid rangers just didn't feel right

Hey guys, been away for about 100 pages so apologies if this has been thrashed out already. Regarding the Warriors I just caught the tail end of an interview with Cappy. He was saying Gubb could be out for a bit and Hoffman out for longer. Didn't hear him say anything about Bodene but presuming he is out as well, plus Matulino then there are quite a few minutes up for grabs in the Warriors pack.

For me the interest is in the 2nd row cause I think that is where one or two right grab some big minutes where as I think the FRF minutes will just get shared around.

So the two obvious candidates are Bunty Afoa and potentially the young lad Isaiah Papali'i. Happy suggested in the interview Papali'i will get first grade minutes sooner rather than later.

I think both were talked about a few pages back but was that with all the injuries in mind?

Im thinking both these lads could/should be in fantasy consideration. Bunty could play 80min, Papali'i might only play 25 but might be worth a punt as an early cow with not that many others around in the 2R.

    Thoughts?

Oh and probably negligible info, but last I heard the word was that Foran probably won't start in round 3, likely off the bench, so those thinking of running with Hingano should get 2.5 games out of him.

I swapped Crichton out for Bunty yesterday. He had a great game. He has the potential to average 40 I feel.

Buntys only problem is Bodene returning. Rumours of bodene on outer and bunty may well be ahead of him in kearneys eyes but youd need something more solid before rnd 1

If i had some solid info that bodene wouldnt displace bunty in the starting spot then hed be in my team. the fact he got such a good run in the trial yesterday is promising, but hoffman also went off injured early.

Yeah and according to Cappy it sounded like they are expecting Hoffman to be out for a few games - his exact words were that hoffman will be out longer than Gubb but the implication was that Gubb could miss a game or so, so its sounds like Hoffman out for several games??

Yeah Bunty play all but a few minutes yesterday right? Went off due to cramp was the only reason he didn't play out the 80.

Yep. Kearney did say earlier in the week that the trial game including interchanges was going to be a round 1 simulation.

Bunty could be the moeroa that delivers.
