Sea Eagles Trent Barrett says there will be a kick off to decide goal kicker this season between Walker, DCE and Kelly

Why would Kelly be in a kick off if he isn't in the 13 ? bounce bounce

looks like barrett was on radio the other day (from sea eagles forum):

Brian Kelly has some hype - we likely to see much of him?
"Yes you will. An opportunity for him at left centre. Kelly and Jono will each have a half a game in the trial - both done well so far. Jono is a professional.

he also said this re sironen:
"He has done everything right, a real professional . He has a pint to prove (a few of ours have). He got a bit comfortable at tigers. He's a big bloke, and skilful. I have had my eye on him for a long time. Manly had Glen Stewart on right edge, he will take that role this year."

looks like he's a barrett fav

Sironen might be worth a shot then. Might put him in for Wallce and save almost 50K.

Sironen might not be a great scorer but really all he has to do is average around 35 points a game to make some money doesn't he? As long as you run hard and you're not a pussy in defence, any 80 minute back-rower should be able to hit those marks.

kennedy probably comes off the bench and subs for winterstein/plays a few mins in the middle as well? what do we think?

at least until lussick is back, it seems Taupau will at least start the year in the middle of the field.

Sironen throws up some interesting options - in fitting him in i've ended up shuffling a lot of my team around, but i'm pretty happy with the result:

    Smith, Hodgson
    Daifiti, Gurgess, Ese Ese, Winterstein
Surgess, McGuire, ET, SMat, Wallace, Sironen
    Norman, Lamb, Elgey, Hingano
    Walker, Idris, Rennings, Scott
    RTS, Hayne, Phythian, Burns, Edwards

(138/143k players in the backline all placeholders pending TLT)

Having Pythian in your 17 let alone 13 is a ballsy move.

Quick shuffle around and I am now managing:

    Smith (Peats)
    Fifita, Daifiti, (Hoare, Ese'ese)
Surgess, ET, Sironen, Leuluai, Stimson, Capewell
    Pearce, Lamb, (Elgey), Field
    SiMat, Idris, Scott, Kelly
    Hayne, Tedesco, RTS, Python, Burns

Gives me at least one gun keeper in each position apart from centre, from which any one of those four could potentially turn into.
Light on reserves though and all comes down to which three cheapies turn up in rd 1 team lists for my 2RF as most likely won't be any of those three.

The Curious Case of James Graham:
    2014 vs 2015 vs 2016
    Average: 50.6 vs 48.0 vs 57.1
    Minutes: 63 vs 53.6 vs 61.2
    PPM: 0.80 vs 0.89 vs 0.93
    Metres: 141.3 vs 147.5 vs 168.9
    Tackles-Missed: 34 vs 30.2 vs 37.7
    Linebreaks+Assists: 7 vs 4 vs 0
    Tries+Assists: 4 vs 3 vs 0
    TBs: 1 vs 1.12 vs 1.62
    Negatives(errors/penalties): 17 vs 10 vs 27
As you can see Graham had a career year in terms of fantasy scoring last year. He did this by raising his PPM through an increase in run metres, more tackles, less missed tackles and a slight increase in TBs. Graham managed to produce enough extra "base stats" to offset an increase in negatives and loss of all attacking stats. Did Graham simply become a better player or is his career year unlikely to be reproduced? Surely we will see an uptick in attacking stats but will his base stats remaining consistent?

What are you going to do if Phyhtian fails?

Burns and Edwards probably won't be in first grade either - and there aren't a lot of other cheapies that look a real chance.
You prepared to downgrade a gun early if you're stuck with Feeney MkII in your backline?
