I didn't watch it so I can't really say much but I thought they would have at least put one try on with Sezer and Austin playing

The bits of quality attack we had was all short ball to forward, no real set play, Austin sezer and Hodgson all disappeared halfway through first half, I wasn't watching too closely at game times though

Knights seem to want to play a lot of second phase footy, got a few repeat sets and our team ran out of gas, then when the going got tough they must have just thought it is all too hard and it's only a trail game.

Can anyone tell me who # 23 for the Knights was?

Cant provide any fantasy info on Panthers v Eels but was 6 all when both full strength. Few late tries to the Panthers after Eels had all their back-ups on.

If Turner gets the centre spot and Coteric the wing spot i'd be worried about the amount of ball he will see. Turner didnt pass much and when he did it looked a bit unco

Yeah, Turner looked like he was trying just that bit too much. Cotric looked good with everything he did.

Not much to say about the Raiders as they spent most of the game behind the posts so I'll throw up some thoughts on some Knights players

Phythian- Showed some class at the back. Had a nice kick in behind the line to force a drop out. Was strong in kick chase making a number of tackles.
Sio- Got plenty of time and space on the edges and was solid defensively. One to consider if no cheapie WFBs
Gagai- Looked to break a tackle every time he ran the ball. Second best on ground
PMAt- Didn't do a lot in a side scoring a lot of points. Finished when he got a chance.
Ross- Looked fast and strong. May not be the most talented player but gives plenty of heart
Lamb- Solid in attack giving a number of assists. Not much chance to do kicking with the Knights scoring so easily. Seemed preference for long kicking
Hodkinson- Good in defense and did most of the short kicking
Dsaifiti- Strong carries and good lateral movement in defense. Few errors but that is to be expected from a young prop
Levi- Class out of dummy half. Led the pack and created a number of tries/overlaps
Starling- Looked to have career best fitness. Backing up on the inside and for some short passing/tip ons
Sione- Strong in defense and ran good lines
Buhrer- Best on ground. Leader in defense, ran great lines and even got involved with some play making.
Barnett- Busy in defense and strong carries. Only played around 50 minutes but got through a mountain of defense.

Based just on that game I can see Newcastle running a similar rotation to the Warriors with 3 big minute back rowers. They may not be the most talented team but they played hard for 80 minutes and looked way fitter then last season. Knights produced a lot of offloads, tackle breaks and second phase play. Hard to keep that going into the regular season but should atleast see a few more attacking points

League is a funny game. A little bit of confidence and a lot of effort/determination can go a long way. Hold the ball and be disciplined in penalties. If they can maintain that enthusiasm they will surprise a few teams. May not have the polish and lose a few close ones but that said, hodko has plenty of experience to guide em

Levi, Gagai, and Barnett really stood out. I would say SMat as well but he confused me cos I think he took the head gear off for s bit and then put it back on again later.

TEAM LIST TUESDAY CHANGES ARE OFFICIAL

    http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/teams/nrl-implement-major-changes-to-weekly-team-list-announcements/news-story/d946ee0cd3f25239d8526315be89c06e

In short. Coaches must name 1-17 on tuesday plus UP TO four additional players, making a total of 21.

Coaches must reduce the 21 to a max of 19, 24 hours before kickoff.

Final 17 named an hour before kick off.

Coaches cannot play anyone not named in the tuesday squad without special permission from NRL. Basically a gun player will not be allowed to be a "late" inclusion.

Not sure if theres any restrictions on changing the 1-17 from TLT with players from 18-21... it would seem not. Meaning a bit of a nightmare for us gauging bench players/mins on Tuesday week. Actually enough coaches already name extended benches so may not matter. At least we will know if a top 17 player is a chance of returning from injury on tuesdays

Basically, if a half was injured the day before game then the nrl would allow a replacement half not in the 21 from reggies.

Yeah. It's typical of our game mate, the theory was good until they got to the "the NRL will have the final say". They have just gone and made another subjective rule.

New TLT rule does pretty much nothing to help fantasy players.

In fact, if clubs will be unable to play players who aren't named on Tuesday, then we'll see massive benches every week all the time.
