All things being equal, we probably would have won that game with James Roberts on the field, not a 3/4 fit Opacic, and Alex Glenn, who, whilst doing a phenomenal job for a second rower playing in the centres, didn't match up
No complaints from me about the refs. I may have shouted at them through the screen a few times during the game, but that's as much to do with the never-ending suspense of these games. I'm honestly not sure I can keep watching Broncos vs Cowboys: it's likely shortening my life span.
Also proud of the fans I've see today, here and in person: they might be discussing a few touchy points and decisions, but no one's having a whinge about it, or rising to the bait. A lot of head shaking and disbelief, sure!
Another thing I've noticed is the Cowboys fans (I'm in Cairns, there's a truckload of them) aren't rubbing our noses in it like the last couple of games. I honestly think there's a level of respect now between the two teams that's approaching some of the best rivalries in the game, and without the acrimony involved in some of the old school hatreds.
It's.... weird, for want of a better word!
