I think SJ is a must have, but to me Jurbo would be the bloke to get cut over DCE and BHunt.  Can you DPP your way around that?  I would be bringing Gallen in for Jurbo regardless and finding another way to get SJ.
It's actually 6 left at present.
I can do the move via DPP's, but I need to do 2 trades anyway to afford it.
So would you say Gallen should come in before Johnson?
The plan was to get both but can only get 1 this week.
I would probably look at Jurbo to SJ first.  Gallen is threatening to bust a few more tackles and nearly scored a couple of times last night.  But he got extra minutes when he came back on early for Luke Lewis.  Before that his scores were rubbish.

SJ has been ridiculously consistent with his 60's and we know he can make a 60 an 80 with 1 run.

Gallen is the POD choice though.  It may be coincidence, but I noticed last night that when he was off the field my rankings stagnated; when he was on my ranking slowly but surely got better.

Just an observation. Only one of the top ten in the WFB position has gone over 50 I believe. Mr Aitken, I could be wrong there.

EDIT: Re-reading the last bit of this I had Fifita and Barba playing as well, so kept pace (without Ryan James) when Gallen was off but increased rank when he was on.

So up against Soylent Green (Les Kiss Fanclub) this week in eliminator. Haven't seen him around for a while but he crossed the 1k mark on the weekend so can't be doing too bad. Should be a close one, aiming for my third week of 1k+ scores in a row....lets do dis!

hmm, had to go to rank 30 to find a captain that wasn't smith (fifi) (22 was fifi but he dosn't have smith).

1 mannering captain and 1 merrin in the 40 range to round out the top 50 (45 smith captains all up)

might be a good way to catch up to the top by captaing someone else apart from smith

I for one have been pushed out of the top 1000 and not to happy about it. I will not be captaining smith for a good while.

I will be captaining Munster this weekend.

It's the big play Goose and respect if you go it, but can bite you on the arse if unlucky.  Fifita is a prime example, has had some deadset average 1st stints ranging between 20 and 25 points over the last couple of months and then comes out every 2nd half and smashes it to get to 70ish.  There will be that one time where he doesn't kill the 2nd stint and will end up scoring a 40.  If you are unlucky you pick him as Captain that one time and drop 50 rankings.

Did you want to post up your full 25 and cash and trades?  Might help with some risk v reward plays going forward.

Ok so did some snooping, going off last week this looks like the two matchups.

    SG:
    Smith (C), MCCullough
    Fajita, James, Graham
    Manners, Whitehead, Parker, Taylor
    SJ, Hunt, Cleary
    BJ, Croker, Guth
    Barba, Teddy, Walker

NPR's who posted a score - JTrbo, Kaufusi, Bowen

    Me:
    Smith (C), Friend
    JDB, Surgess, Graham
    Merrin, Manners, Whitehead, Harris
    Cleary, SJ, Pearce
    BJ, Croker
    Munster, Guth, Aitken

    NPR's who posted a score - None

Based on that I think I've JUST got an edge as I think it might come down to captain choice and not having any likely AE's mean I can try and loophole for maximum points.

I also have 141k and 3 trades left so I think I might make another trade this week. NFI who though, tempted to try bring in Fifi but with those injury rumours and the fact that Raiders are going to smash them this week Cool I'm not so sure.

    Smithy for me!

1 normal captaincy error is chasing another guns last round big score!

I've long been a believer of (C)am and I think I'd still be running with him each week if I couldn't loophole. However given that I've only got 17 scorers, the idea of running something like JDB (VC) & Manners (C) seems too good to pass up. I did it two weeks ago and it worked, reverted back to Smith this week and regretted it. I won't make any further climb at this stage playing safe so phuck it, why not go for broke.

I was more just speculating tbh on the logic of what the top teams are doing,I will most likely C smith this week myself against the bunnies with the V on JDB

only other option i'm thinking is to C merrin and put the VC on munster or smith. would mean I play Cartright instead of merrin if smith goes huge

I'm 0 trades now but the team is set with keepers throughout and can cop about 2 injuries before I panic

Of course it could be untrue as he always said he'd only play for the Eels.

Looks like they might be on the money.

I wonder which dream he is fulfilling this time?

Hayne: "Since I was a young boy I always wanted to play NFL, play rugby 7's for Fiji and party hard on the Gold Coast... Today I can finally realise my dreams"

wont be surprised if something else pops up like a rugby offer but it would be nice to have him back. especially in a team that has gotten screwed over before.

Yeah - i'm around. I reckon you've got the edge on me this week. I've got Tedesco up against the Cowboys and Walker up against the Storm - so not expecting much from them, and you've got the better forward lineup.
