At least he got a couple of unexpected rep jerseys I guess.

He's lucky that's all he got. The club is reliant on him not to break his body doing stupid shit when hes away from the team.

I would have thought that considering it was a non-footy injury they could just not pay him for each game he misses.

Scott Bolton did it catching crabs; maybe Dylan had also just found out he'd caught some?

Probably a legal thing because his contract is almost definitely a fixed contract rather than a per match contract. Fining him is their way of partially recouping salary they have to pay him, but probably feel they shouldn't have to.

It might also depend on how much of the story we are hearing. If he comes home after a quiet dinner with team mates and his key snaps in the lock and in frustration he punches the door, it probably sounds harsh, but if he comes home pissed, and is locked out by his Mrs because she thinks he's been drinking a banging chicks, so he punches the door to get out in a domestic violence type situation, then he's got off lightly. I'm guessing since wifey drove him straight to hospital, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
